Natural Induction
I am due in 3 weeks. The doc told me yesterday that I might have to be induced. I don't want medical induction, so I'm trying it at home. I have tried walking, sex and several other things but nothing works. Is there anything I can do that would induce this naturally so I don't have to go a medical route???
hhhmmmm did not think of this alaysha lol..i may just concider that..if i keep having contractions tonight and nothing gets worse i may have some eggs for a late night snake lmao..i feel so horriable thinking like this but like the dr said sometimes you just need something to get the contractions strong enough to dilate you and since im at 3 i think a kick start would be o.k plus i dont really want potocin which is what they will give me to induce so maybe i should try this lol
I heard that if you mix it with eggs it doesn't taste that bad and that you can bnarely taste it.
as much pain as i am in and as bad as these contractions are i would rather wait 3 weeks then drink that crap lol..i have some sitting on my counter and i stare at it wondering if i could do it because the dr said he thinks as soon as i start getting ready good hard contractions she will be here but i get ick just thinking about drinking it hahah i have decided to just walk when i can i sleep when i ant and maybe just maybe she will come soon on her own but good luck to you who think yall can drink it i have much respect for you lmao
Most of the time even if woman have a bowel movement during labor they clean it up so fast that we never even know about it since were in the midst of everything. You can also ask for an enema to lessen the chance even more. Also alot of woman get diarrhea the few days before labor, some take it as a sign that labor is in the near future, and that cleanses your system out alot before your in labor.
I would for sure bring it back up. I am still getting sick some mornings just from coughing. Plus I don't want to have the poopies and be in labor at the same time. I would die if I crapped during delivery!!!
She said it's easier to take it like a shot and chase it- dont mix it.. plug your nose and open up.. I am half tempted to try it on my due date if this baby still hasnt caused me to go into active labor!!
how in the world did she drink a whole 6 ozs lol i made me a glass of oj and caser oil and just stared at it lmao it just looked so gross and the thought of drinking it made me sick so i guess that is out of the question for me
I had a friend that took a whole 6oz bottle of caster oil one day... she had to go the the restroom all night, but by the next morning she was admitted into the hospital with active labor. 12hrs later and an hour of pushing and she had her first baby girl by 5 or 6 in the evening. It can work, the reason beind the caster oil is it causes you to contract when your trying to poop (sorry tmi), those contractions help stimulate the uterus.
Dr's and Midwifes also have said nipple stimulation can cause early labor- My friends, friend tried pumping 5 weeks before her due date and had her baby later that week premature. She was an idiot for messing with fate- but so far the kid is ok.

Well, the doc thinks the baby might end up getting too big but he isn't sure if he is going to induce yet. He just said he might have to. As for the inducing, I was 1.6 cm dilated on Wed when I went to the appt so last night I decided to try castor oil. I mixed 2 oz with a glass of vanilla coke. I never really got nauseous or anything although I did have to go to the restroom a few times (tmi). I did have contractions all night though, and I have been having them all day, along with back pain. I don't know for sure what it means but my water ain't broke yet, so I'ma guess it means nothing for the moment. Do you think I should try the castor oil again tonight?
The baby will come when it is ready, anything you try will not work if the baby isn't ready... especially if you still have 3 weeks to go. I tried everything on my second daughter's due date and nothing worked! Why does the Dr want to induce you? Can you tell him you don't want to be induced, or is there a medical reason behind it? I hate how Dr's mess with nature when there is no reason for it!!!
This one is a toughy. I too am due in 3 weeks. I have heard of using caster oil. My last pregnancy we tried the sex route and it didn't work. I was induced 3 days after my due date. Once in labor I stopped dilating so they had me get on my hands & knees and I went to 10 from 4 within an hour. Maybe that is something to try. Lots of walking also help but is so uncomfortable.

lol girl i know how you feel,i am in early labor and the dr told me to come home and walk and the stronger the contractions get the more i will dialate..well i have walked and still nothing,i dont think i can just keep sitting here having contractions like this for nothing to happen..im scared to have sex cause i am 2 cen dilated and i am contracting aout every 3 mins..if you hear of anything kick starting things let me know lol
