bleeding

Hello I have posted this question on the other forum but have had no rsponse so am just asking you ladies or any answers, does anyone have any idea whilst on the 2ww some ladies (me for instance) bleed from day 11-13 although on progesterone and others do not until they stop their meds after getting the dreaded BFN. Also has anyone had 2 or 3 embryos put back, still had some bleeding and gone on to have a pregnancy i.e one of the embryos must have stuck. many thanks melissax

I would think that maybe you need to be on a higher dose of estrogen and/or progesterone.  It sounds like af is overriding these levels.  Does your RE test your estrogen and progesterone levels to make sure they are high enough?  If not, it would most likely prevent implantation, and prevent your body from carrying the fetus.  I would ask your RE and go from there.  If they hadn't tested in the past, I would sure want them to this time.

Good LUck!

Thank you for this, will definetly bring up this when we start meds next month, I do remember last time asking if the 2 pregnyl injections(that is my support of progesterone) is enough and they said yes, was better support than the cyclogest I was on duing my 1st ivf. I know they'l put me on the pregnyl injections again as they think is the best support for me, I have got lots of the pessaries at home so do you think it will hurt if I double up and use them as well as my 2 injections for progesterone support. x

I would ask your clinic to tell you what your levels were during your last 2 cycles.  I would ask them to see if they checked them.  I know here, we start our estrace the 3rd day of our cycle, and take it well into pregnancy.  We start our progesterone either 3 days or 5 days boefore transfer (depending on what day transfer they are doing) and we stay on it well into pregnancy also.  I don't know if I would recommend doubling up on your meds on your own, but I would highly suggest taking your concerns to the clinic and discussing it with them.  You definately want every advantage available.....

If I were you, I would call now and get the information on your past cycles.  You know ladies on here will know what your levels should be at.
You can get your levels, post them, see what the ladies say about them, then you will be ready for when you go in June.  You can have your research done.

Girl, I am the wrong person to ask! haha!  I went into this at 40 1/2 not even attempting to use my own eggs because I didn't want the disappointment! haha!  (see what good that did!haha)
I am praying this works for you! I know how badly you want it!  I just hope and pray that if it fails, that maybe you two will move forward with donor.  It seems like you both want another child soooo badly, and you deserve one! or two..... : )

This will be our last try with my own eggs, then we will decide donor eggs, adoption(have to wait another 3 years) or to count our blessings(which we always do) that we have our adorable son Alfie who will be 3 at the end of the summer. I am 41 years and not ready to throw towel in yet, just here in England we need money for more ivf's so we may not have the option for donor eggs. Anyway hey ho its going to be 4th time lucky!! for all of usxxx
thanks or all your advice and support.x

Don't know if this will help or not but I had my Progesterone and Estrogen tested on the day of my 3D transfer and again today day 4 post transfer. Here are my numbers and the normal levels as per the nurse (sorry I don't know the units used but I'm in Canada which is similar to the UK I believe)

Progesterone
Transfer day= 36
Today= 21
Normal is > 25 so I had to increase my Prometrium ( I'm on the pills)

Estrogen
Transfer day= 1659
Today= 607
Normal > 200
no change to meds

What I'm wondering is if any of these are god signs of upcoming pregnancy?? I'm only 4 DPT and going crazy waiting!!!! Thankfully I go back to work tomorrow :)

Thank you for these levels, they do take my blood and test me to get the right levels so I suppose the 2 injections of pregnyl should be enough-i have intotal 15000iu which is a high number so I know its probably the condition of the egg/embryo that wont stick. It is a lottery as a friend of mine is 8 weeks pregnant 3rd ivf, and her embryo started at 2 cell 2dt and she is 43 years old(own eggs). My dr keeps saying its getting that 1 good egg. Eostrogen was always a good level, I was never given any extra of this. My sincere best wishes to you as you go through the dreaded 2ww, will be following you and saying a few prayers, my turn again will come round so quick so just trying to prepare myself and cover all corners, lots lovemelissax
