"Elevated thyroid antibodies are often associated with chronic urticaria, also called hives. Studies report that as many as 57.4% of patients with hives have the presence of anti-thyroid antibodies. An August 2010 paper suggests that treatment with T4 improves the itching associated with urticaria, but did not advise treatment with T4 unless the patient was hypothyroid." - excerpt from Life Extention - Thyroid Regulation
90% of adult hypothyroidism is mostly due to Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (autoimmune hypothyroidism). Hypothyroidism tends to slow metabolism in general which, among other things, causes the parietal cells in the stomach to produce less stomach (hydrochloric) acid. Non obstructive acid reflux is most often caused by too little hydrochloric acid being secreted by the stomach.
For many, the symptoms of hashimoto's Thyroiditis are silent in the early stages of the autoimmune attack. But eventually, you start to notice symptoms of hypothyroidism. A feeling of tightness around your throat or a sore throat is one of the many listed hypothyroid symptoms. In most cases, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is confirmed by two antibody tests: anti-TPO and TgAb. One antibody can be normal with the other elevated so it is important to have both tested.
You need to be on a high dose probiotic. At least 80 Billion. Yes I said 80 Billion. probably long term. The flora in the intestins is messed up. You also need to look into getting the right digestive enzymes. You can go to www.hopeformula.com for products. There is a large array, but if you fix the gut, you will be amazed at how great you will feel!
Yes, but if you have an underlying chronic intracellular bacterial infection CAUSING the macrophages to be dissabled in turn causing you to have a dysbiosis, you are not solving anything. You need to fix the root cause.
Yoga can't cure a intracellular bacterial infection.
Hi-
I am a holistic health practitioner, and started reading this website when I came down with a walloping case of hives with angiodema (huge swellings) as well as heartburn, which I have never had before in my life. I had it for 6 months, until I finally determined the cause. Drinking baking soda, or taking baths in it; or apple cider vinegar, etc, all address symptoms, but not the root cause.
In my months of research, I found out that over 50% of our population, and closer to 80% of people over 60 years old, have a bacteria called h. pylori which not only lives in the stomach, but actually THRIVES in stomach acid.
The chances are very high that if you are having acid reflux/heartburn and hives, that you have a walloping overgrowth of h. pylori in your system. if you have medical insurance and can afford it, get tested for it. if not, there are two recommended herbal remedies that you can take to rid your system of h. pylori. if you want to go to a MD, they will recommend all kinds of expensive antibiotics for you to take, though they may or may not get rid of your h.pylori.
I used Mastic Gum capsules. I took two 500 mg capsules before eating breakfast, for a few days. when I had no ill effects, I added a second two capsules in the middle of the day when my stomach was empty. To my knowledge, there are no side effects with mastic Gum capsules. if any one knows differently, please let me know.
After three days of taking two 500 mg tablets, the symptoms were 85% gone. After adding two more capsules, all my symptoms are gone, and have not come back. I have heard that it is necessary to stay on the mastic gum for three months to totally rid yourself of h.pylori. It has been two months for me, I am still taking it, and I feel great. I have also been told about a Metulah Herbal Formula, which is also supposed to work in getting rid of h.pylori. I cannot recommend it, because I have not tried it.
if anyone wants to write to me about this, I am happy to help you, since hives and hearburn are terrible! I don't know if we are allowed to give out e-mails on this website, but you can google me. my name is Rosiland Solomon, and if you spell it correctly, you will come to me day-job website (I am an also an illustrator) that allows you to contact me
