I have been diagnosed with migraines since I was 12. I am in my 60's now. Quite a few years ago, I took a spill where I had hit my head and woke up the next day. Never followed up on it due to domestic violence and did not want my ex to track me down in the same small town. Anyway, now years later, it seems I have like fluid at the base of my head under the scalp. When the migraines get bad, the swelling increases. I also have swelling on the crown of my head when the migraines get bad. I get them so bad, that there are times I have to go to the ER and try to get a pain shot. I have been told by a nuerologist that I need an MRI and some nuerological testing, but my insurance won't cover it. I am very scared as to what it might be having a medical background in my distant past. Suggestions?? Ideas???
