I'm currently 18, and I believe I've had a left-testicle varicocele for slightly more than 2 months. I'm not entirety sure if that's the time I developed it, for it's merely the time I began experiencing discomfort. I've researched its various effects such as low sperm count and testicular atrophy, however the one that worries me is its significant depletion of testosterone. Does it deplete it to the extent that I might not develop fully in certain aspects? I frequently work out, and I know testosterone is important for muscle development, so I was worried if it might begin decreasing my muscle mass. To summarize my question: could a varicocele affect testosterone to such an extent that it hinders physical development? (Muscle, face, etc.). I don't know if my varicocele is considered severe, all I can say is that the pain is consistent and slightly above mild. I'll appreciate any response. Thank you.
