How to find a GI doc w/experience on bent esophagus from severe scoliosis

I have acid reflux despite being on meds.  I have severe scoliosis that is pushing my esophagus out of shape and there is narrowing where it is bent at the base of the neck.  I am having some difficulty swallowing liquids - so far not food, am hoarse and it is sore in the hollow of my nec.  The hollow of my neck is no linger in the middle of my neck but on the right side of my neck.  The esophagus starts out midline under the chin and then slants off to the right and then bends back again under the collarbone.  Not sure how the rest of the esophagus is affected.  The ortho doc looked at my chest xrays and could tell me no more than that except he did see a narrow spot where the neck bend is.  He was really not that much help -- not a candidate for spine surgery either.

I do need an upper endoscopy but scared to have one as perforation is a possibility with a normal esophagus and as mine is so out of shape....

Please, any suggestions?

If you cannot get upper endoscopy, consider fluoroscopic esophagram.
