How long does skipping brushing take to get back to normal in terms of bacteria?

I've been skipping brushing lately at nighttime.  I've begun starting to brush twice a day and floss and mouthwash as I normally do.  I've been reading some stuff on not brushing and it mainly talks about bacteria and plaque and whatnot.  Does long does it take for the bacteria level to become normal in your mouth?  Once you brush twice a day for the first time does it become a normal healthy mouth or does it take a week of brushing correctly to become normal again?

Brushing at night helps saliva secretion maintained hence reduction in bacteria forming. It is very important to brush before going to bed for some more reasons like to prevent bad odour too.
