I've been getting this for a couple years since starting a desk job.
It hits in the evening when I'm sitting down, even for a little while. Also, only at this this time I easily nod off even if not tired. My just gets full feeling, I get severe air thirst, either can't stop yawning or feel like I need to and can't, and sometimes one ear gets full feeling.
Getting up and moving around slowly alleviates it eventually, but sometimes certain foods like a couple handfuls of popcorn alleviates it.
It's not low blood sugar, this can happen even if I had a meal a couple hours prior, though it's more common when I eat light.
It's always at the same time of night too. If I sit too much earlier or later, it doesn't happen.
I have no idea what this is, but it is always the same time of evening when relaxed. Could it be some sort of metabolic or thyroid issue?
The doctor just cites anxiety and left it at that, and usually I had previously felt perfectly content. I know I wake up with a pretty low pulse rate many times in the morning, but don't get these symptoms then.
I don't know what section this belongs in, sorry.
