Bright Yellow and Orange Urine

For the past week, I've been taking Emergen-c once a day and have been hydrating. Last night, I used the restroom and it was bright yellow, almost a neon yellow. Before bed, I used the restroom again and it was urine. Today, if has either been dark yellow. No pain when urinating, and my stool is normal color. Question is, could it be due to too much Vitamins in the Emergen-C, or should I be concerned? 21 year old male.

Hello~It is very unlikely that it is due to the Vitamin C, I have taken that brand in the Raspberry flavor, it is red, and it has never changed the color of my urine. You actually can not get too much vitamin C, it is a water soluble vitamin, thus your body excretes what it doesn't need, but again, it would not be dark unless you are not drinking enough water throughout the day.

My first thought was that you are not drinking enough water, if you body does not get enough water, your urine will be a darker yellow. How much water are you drinking? You should drink at least 8 8 ounces a day, preferably more  if possible.

I don't drink a lot of water, but I've never bad this problem. I went a few days with normal urine and it came back today. It's definitely not red. It's just a very dark orange. Thanks again
