Hello and thank you for any advice! This forum is unbelievably helpful and thank you so much for having it.
I performed unprotected oral deepthroat on a man. There was a lot of saliva, and this ended up on my penis and i masturbated with said saliva. We also had protected anal sex where I was receptive
8 days later, i ended up in the hospital, with diverticulitis (ct scan confirmed) after this. I was prescribed cipro and flagyl. I received a urinalysis in hospital as well, which did show blood, but no leukocytes. 3 other urine tests 3 months later and on, showed no leukocytes or blood.
I did have sex with my wife after my encounter and before my hospital trip unprotected.
My wife has also been having issues with ovarian cysts after this.
1) hiv is no risk to extremely low. What risks are there involved with this though for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea for penile, throat or anal infection? For anal, my thought is zero but would love the peace of mind.
2) are there sti's that cause ovarian cysts?
3) will leukocytes show up in urine if there was an infection?
4) if I were to have passed something along to my wife, would i have seen leukocytes by now from it being passed back from my wife?
5) Even if the cipro and Flagyl 'cured' whatever infection I had from my original encounter?
6) do Flagyl and/or cipro cure any stis?
HIV is zero risk.
There is a risk of oral gonorrhea and chlamydia from giving oral sex. Urine tests would not find this. You'd need specific oral swabs.
2) are there sti's that cause ovarian cysts?
No. These are very common in women, and are not related to STIs.
3) will leukocytes show up in urine if there was an infection?
Yes, usually.
4) if I were to have passed something along to my wife, would i have seen leukocytes by now from it being passed back from my wife?
Yes, usually.
5) Even if the cipro and Flagyl 'cured' whatever infection I had from my original encounter?
Maybe not. Taking antibiotics can change this.
6) do Flagyl and/or cipro cure any stis?
Cipro might cure gonorrhea, though there is a lot of resistance to this now. Flagyl won't cure any STI.
If your penis wasn't insertive for anything, you are missing important tests. You had protected receptive anal, so I'm not worried about anal STIs, but you haven't been tested orally.
If you had genital risk, taking antibiotics can give you false negative tests.
If it's been more than 3 weeks since taking the antibiotics, you can get accurate oral STI test results now.
