The key is to get to the bottom of the drip and try to lesson it. Drying it out? If it's brief, you could use a decongestant. Or you can use something like claritan or whatever brand you like. I think that helps a lot (do that myself). You can thin it with mucinex which might help. Also, try using an extra pillow so your head is higher. That can help keep it out of your stomach.
