Is cholesterol lower drugs needed for these readings

My husband who is 63 had his cholesterol panel taken with these readings. Total -188, trig 63, hdl 59, ldl 109. The physician assistant called saying she recommends a statin Lipitor. I am like why these readings aren’t that bad. There are no family history of heart issues. My husbands bp which he is on meds is 130/80. He doesn’t smoke or drink. Maybe 10 pounds overweight. Am I missing something here?
