wearing earrings

Hi guys, I'm writing to ask a question if there's any chance that I got syphilis. My friend was helping me wearing an earring, what if the ear stud stick to her finger and my ear lobe at the same time and bleeding, will I get any chance to be infected? is it like a medical exposure?

This was already answered for you - there is no risk for any STD, including syphilis.

To get syphilis, you need to have some kind of sexual activity - oral, vaginal or anal sex. You didn't have any of that. There is no such thing as a "medical exposure" to syphilis. It's not a blood-borne pathogen.

Also, there are no "what if" scenarios that will change this.

Sorry Jessi, really thanks for your answer. I want to know that syphilis can also be transmitted by transfusion, but you mentioned it is not a blood-borne pathogen, then how does it transmit by blood?
