Thanks ladies! I have been using a heating pad and it does seem to help - I will try to exercise my legs more and try the bath. Thanks!
I had it during pregnancy also, it was AWFUL. I found that a hot bath would calm it down. So right before I would get into bed I would get into a hot bath from the waste down for about 10 minutes and go right to bed - it was the only way I could fall asleep. The heat really seemed to help. If I couldn't get into the tub the only thing I could do was walk. Oh, try squats. They say that if you exhaust your muscles it can help also. The easiest way to do this is is with squats. I would squat down as far as I could and hold it until I couldn't hold it anymore. i did this a few times and then the pain would go away for a few hours. Good luck!!
Well... I had this problem when I was pregnant. There are of course medications to help with RLS, but as far as I know none of them are okay during pregnancy. In all honesty- I just had to tough it out until my son was born :S It was terribly uncomfortable- my legs were always so twitchy and night and I just HAD to move them. It was one of the worst symptoms I had during my pregnancy. So I had it, but I have no advice to help alleviate your symptoms :( Good luck!
