sensation of something stuck in my throat

I have had this feeling on and off for 4 years now. The feeling of something stuck in my throat. (globus sensation)
I have been tested for acid reflux  and it was negative. I have had X-rays done and they were negative. I have had blood work done and it was all normal.
I noticed that when I over eat (even just alittle) I get this feeeling. I also have noticed that rich foods can trigger this
feeling. I am in a medical profession  and I have tried to come up with a logical answer and I can't. Maybe some kind of acid reflux? maybe some tonsilolithes? I don't know but I do know I don't like this feeling! It was suggested once that it was stress but I didn't have any increased stress when it started. I really wish there was some kind of relieve or
someway I could prevent this feeling!
I hope someone can help with this issue.

I have been having the sensation that there is something stuck in my throat, and when I swallow, it feel differently in the middle of my chest bone area. It started about a 3 weeks ago. I went in the hospital where the usual test were done to see if there was a blockage somewhere. According to the Gastro., and ENT doctors, nothing can be seen.
I still have the feeling, and don't know which doctor to talk to about this. There is a problem, but they don't see it. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas on this. I am getting really concerned. Thanks, LM

Have you had an endoscopy performed by a G.I doctor? If not you should definitely talk to a good G.I doc and have this test done. You should try some of the over the counter prilosec andsee if that helps. If it does make sure and tell the doctor. There is a chance that it is spasms of the esophagus but it is more likely reflux GERD caused. Don't let them throw you into that anxiety catagory if you don't belong in it. It is a quick way for them to dismiss things when they can't or don't want to figure it out. Good luck and know that you are intelligent enough to know whether it is induced by stress or not.

Hello :) I'm only 14 but my dad's a doctor. I've had that same feeling. A feeling like something was stuck in my throat and a tightness in my chest. My dad said it was esophageal spasm from me having a panic attack. I had Helicobater Pylori during that time. Maybe ask a doctor if it's possible that you have H. Pylori. Hopefully you don't. It's a nasty bug :(

Hope you feel better soon :)
