Any new news?

I have had the same symptoms for approximately nine months.  I call them "attacks" where my stomach slowly begins hurting in my lower belly area then moves it's way up to just beneath my sternum.  Once it moves up to my stomach area is when I begin vomiting green bile.  I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago and began having similar stomach aches at that time but no vomiting.  I was also diagnosed with Crohn's disease last February however have never had such symptoms previously and know that I had Crohn's disease for many years before being diagnosed.  I started Remicade treatments for Crohn's and a week or two afterwards is when the stomach pain and vomiting began on a regular basis.  I too have missed important days at work and feel that I have to plan my life around these "spells".  I was just wondering if your son was diagnosed or cured.

Have you told the dr who is administering your Remicade of your problems?  Also tell you GI dr.   I would call today for an appointment.  It does sound like your chrons is acting up.  Chrons when it is in a flare up is extremely painful and the pain can cause the bile to build up in your stomach.  What are you taking for the pain?  This could also bile.

Best of luck.

Miraculously,I think we found the answer to my son's problem. On his birthday in April of 2008, he had emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix. His appendix and a small portion of his colon was removed. He had been in pain for 5 DAYS, and not seen a doctor, because he was so discouraged from lack of help for his bouts of vomiting. Anyway, as I talked to friends and read about this, the appendix can flare up for years before it is diagnosed. His appendix was never  checked, only his gall bladder, colon, etc. The doctor didn't think it was related, but I was sure it was. I talked to a pharmacist friend who said that the appendix flareups could affect the gall bladder. It has now been a year in a few more weeks, and no more flare ups. Have your appendix checked.

Hi,My son is still in pain, with no answers from the doctors however my family doctor thinks a ct scan should be done but the Ped.doctors are saying there is no need for it.I know there is something wrong with him and we can't give up.I have never felt soooo helpless before. My family doctor has mentioned crohn's disease but again the ped.doctors don't think so because there is no sign in his blood work and he is not experiencing constant diarrhea but I don't know,I mean who knows he could have a rare condition of something.
Thanks for your reply its greatly appreciated
