This is strange, Anyone else?

Wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this.   And I'm not crazy.
For the past week, I can hear my eyes move.  It's hard to explain, but also slight dizziness and minor headachey feel.
I've looked this up on the Internet and found others who have had it...(some for years, some for short time) and they have been to every doctor possible.   Nothing. Doctors did tests and find nothing. This was the case with all of them.
It's pretty annoying hearing your eyes move.  What happens next?  My ears seeing?

Just for $hits and giggles, give some caffeine a try......it may help with the dizziness.  I guess unless the problems become worse or something new develops...OR that they don't go away, I'd check in with the doc.

One of my concerns, aside from the symptoms you're experiencing, is that it's not uncommon for people on anti-depressants to feel like they don't need them anymore...and then stop the med. and experience a resurgence of their depression.  Not everyone, mind you.  It's just that the med. makes you feel better sometimes and then you think you don't need it anymore, much like someone taking an antibiotic and then they feel better.....they then don't finish it and their infection rears it's ugly head because it wasn't erradicated yet.

I'd suggest that you at least give your doctor's office a call, and let them know you've stopped the med.  I'm hoping that what you're experiencing will be brief and then you feel better again.  : )

I had been wanting to stop the anti-dep anyway and was really busy so I didn't get to fill my next script, so I just took the couple of pills I had left and broke them in half and then finished them. No my doctor doesn't know yet that I stopped them, just feel that maybe I don't need them anymore. Between those and the Sub, I just want to start coming off this stuff and the Anti-dep were the first to go. Not experiencing any other problems other than the eyes & ear thing with very mild spaciness...just a little weird.
Truth is, except for this weird eye stuff, I'm feeling pretty good off the anti-dep. Like I have a few more emotions, laughing easier etc.
Guess I'll just continue with treating it like a sinus problem or a stopping my meds problem and time will fix it, hopefully.
Thanks for all your help.
Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions.

Well, that quick taper off your anti-depressant could certainly be it...after all, you just did that and now you have these strange symptoms right?  It is not recommended to stop those meds suddenly, as you know, and even though you tapered, I just don't think that was long enough.  In diagnosing someone, medical professionals are supposed to go by the old addage that when you hear hoofbeats, you should look for horses, not zebras.  I'm certainly not qualified to diagnose you, but I'd say, by looking for the horses, that the med. discontinuation would be the first thing to look at.

Does your doctor know you've discontinued the medication?  Why did you d/c it?  Was it causing you problems or did you just not think it was helping or that you didn't need it anymore?

You're not experiencing anything systemic right? ....like no fever or chills, palpitations, just feeling badly?  That kind of thing?  It's all in your ears and eyes right?

....and, lol.....I actually have Vertigo on my queue with Netflix, lol...I love Hitchcock's movies and somehow never got around to seein' that one.

How ARE you today?  Are your symptoms no better?

Jacqui,  No, I don't have Vertigo, but I'm sure you could rent it at Blockbuster. lol....kidding.
Seriously, no, don't have that. But I just went to read up on Labyrinthitis and the weird thing they mention is sometimes it's treated with anti-depressants. I just stopped my anti-depressants right before this all started. Think that could have anything to do with it?  Should I start back on them or just wait it out? Also read on Internet somewhere that hearing your eyes move could, in some cases be low levels of serotonin. Make any sense to you? I didn't taper off my anti-depressants for very long (2-3 days), could I still be experiencing problems from that for a little over a week now?
Thanks for any info.

I know I've had the sensation of a clicking sound in my eyes before but I guess it just passed...the other things you mention though....I wonder if you don't have Labyrinthitis.  If you do, it should last no more than three days...Do you have vertigo?

Well, I have done the Warm wash cloth on my face, breathing steam, saline nose drops, Sinutabs, Eye drops. Did these things a lot yesterday and again this am. Still can hear my eyes move and now have a mild ringing (?) or noise in my ears. And not feeling quite right (spacey). But I'll keep doing the above things and see what happens. Tonight gonna try Benadryl  (per Mary).
lol, When I move my eyes side to side, it sounds kinda like cars racing by.
DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR?  singing again

Mary that was my thought that why I asked her if the dizziness was worst in the morning .I had that eye thing when I was having vertigo  for an inner ear problems but for most the dizziness is worse in the am and gets better as the day goes. The sinus meds might help it that what it is it will help dry up any fluid .

dont you mean you cant get that song out of your EYES?? lmao. oh man Magi..I dunno what to tell you. I did medical transcription for many years for ENT's and the other branches close to that (oncology/cancer of the head/neck, speech therapy, voice/vocal cord dysfunction specialists and the like) but I dont remember anyone's eyes making sounds. But yes, Ive had that clicking wet sound in my own before. Just once or twice it wasnt a chronic problem or anything . Since yours is a constant problem now and accompanied by dizzy symptoms I would get checked out by the Dr.  I have to warn you though, dizziness is a horribly hard symptom to tie a cause down to. THose letters i used to type for these doctors--i learned alot about stuff like that-- and man, its crazy how many different things can cause dizziness and very hard to diagnose an etiology without testing. (and even with testing, alot of times they still cant figure it out, lol).
have you had a cold recently? Maybe its just a sinus problem...good luck and keep us posted on the outcome of this!

Ok, so now I have the Christmas Carol, "Do you hear what I hear" stuck in my head.
Only I'm singing it about my eyes.
Dang, can't get the song out of my head.

Magi, You should probably post this for Dr. Parks  on Med Help. I wish he lived close seems like a great doc.

I'm guessing , but this might be an ear problem and not an eye problem.  The dizziness can be caused by the ear.  Also, you know how when you get a cold and your ears get plugged. You can only hear your own voice. lol

I have constant ear problems......and we are related. So I'm gonna go with the ear or mental problem. LMAO

LOL guys,  ok perhaps I am crazy, but that has nothing to do with hearing my eyes.
Yes, It's a wet-swishing sound. And the slight dizziness is probably worse later in the day.
Mary says my eyes need an oil job.
Trouble, You've had this......does it go away?
GTMI, Have you had this happen? And the warm washcloth helped.
Avis,  Thanks, going to try that today. Along with warm washcloth & Sinus meds.
Thanks guys. Will try all suggestions.

I knew you were wierd..this proves it!

Seriously, once or twice a day put a warm washcloth over your eyes. Take a time out and let them soak. Afterwords, rub under the lower eyelashes. This will help the tear ducts open up. It may take up to a month but it feels good.
