Yeah, all the people I registered were Republicans and nasty or really stupid. One woman asked me if McCain was still alive and running. When I told her yes, she said"Oh, Ok, I'll vote for him". DUH. Another had to call someone and ask what she was, hung up and said I guess I'm republican. Double DUH !! It really confirmed my suspicions of who will vote for McCain.
Did you have to sedate Magi??LOL.....Oh, man that had to be rough......ahhahaa
Nauty......lolololo
Voting should be based on how many hours of cartoon network the candidates have watched in their lifetime.
This would have to be an officially documented amount...otherwise they could claim it's all they do!!!
Did you hear the other night on CNN someone called Palin Caribou Barbie?? I thought that was rather funny!!!!
I would be gone out of this nation fast.....
Just alittle info for those that watch only the FOX network for their political news.
John Ellis, Fox network decision maker, is the first cousin of Pres. George Bush and Jeb Bush (former Fla. Governor).
The following has also been written:
The 12-year-old channel was too new to have much impact on the 1996 election cycle but had a significant role in the 2000 and 2004 elections — and the current campaign has been feeling its impact since it started. While conservatives frequently complain about The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the major networks, no news outlet draws more scrutiny than Fox.
Perhaps that’s because it’s a new kid on the block and because its founder is the high-profile media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who 1) has long espoused conservative views, 2) is willing to eat millions in losses annually on The New York Post and The Weekly Standard, which both espouse his brand of politics, and 3) hired the long-time Republican communications guru Roger Ailes as the CEO of Fox. Polls show that Fox’s viewers are heavily Republican and conservative.
Really think FOX is non-biasis?
This is what I just don't get. 95% of the people know and agree that Bush has been bad news..on so many levels, and yet they are gonna vote for McCain who has voted with Bush 90% of the time. He is not and has not changed his view on things. We will get 4 more years of Bush. However you want to twist it, it will be the same.
I think it is equally important to watch the candidates we are putting in the senate also. There are some that have been there a hundred years and are doing no good for anyone except their pocketbooks. All these special committees they sit on, hell they have no idea what is going on in the real world. Make it so they can only serve 2 terms max. We have a really good race going on here in Minnesota. The incumbent has voted with Bush 85%. Time for a change i say. I vote on the issues. sara
Thats what reallys scares me. We been stuck with Bush for 8 years and now we could be stuck with McCain. I swear I will go underground while he continues to destroy this country. There is just no difference between these two. Thats part of the reason I take these polls. I really want to understand how people feel and why they would vote for more of what we have.
I sincerely investigate the issues and vote strictly on that basis. I'm sorry- but it IS that important. I think people who vote based on the BS should just stay home. It's got nothing to do with IQ- it's all about common sense. If you buy a car just for what color it is and don't do your home work, don't gripe when you get stuck with a lemon. Better yet- don't stick me with the lemon that you chose and make me pay for it.
I think I got about 6, most of them were address changes. Magi got all republican's. LMAO It killed her.
Hey, you guys never said how many voters you got registered???
People vote for candidates for all reasons.....Because he is black, because she is a woman, because they say what we want to hear etc. You can educate people on all the issues, but the proof is when they enter the booth.
come on.....who votes on the issues?? The issues are very complicated and made to confuse us anyway..........
I say they should just give us a blindfold and a dart........whatchathink......
nauty............
Good lord, no!!! Spend good money to support a fallacy? Blech!
I knew what you meant and I agree. Too many people vote one way or the other because their parents voted that way.
I think outside the voting building, they should have simply worded flyer type things, that tell where the canidates stand on issues.
Actually it takes only a few minutes to pull up their sites and it gives a list of issues and where they stand and how they voted.
I don't mean an IQ test, I didn't say that at all. I think that if one is going to vote they should be an informed voter. They should know the issues and the candidates, not just go in willy nilly and check a box. One should know why they are voting for someone or something, come on you can't tell me you don't know people that when you ask them why they are voting for someone, they have no clue other than they like his/her hair or something like that. I think that is why we have some of the idiots in office we have, on both side.
What !!!! That is the most Ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Everyone has the right to vote.......What you want an IQ test first. That bullsplit !!
VicUser.......I love you, man, but that was just insulting !!!! LOL.
geez,
Nauty..........
Oh, I guess the money would go to pay off national debt. It would barely make a dent !
OMG what a great idea .... a quiz before you can vote. I love that idea.
I was just thinking that people are more likely to investigate a canidate before they would spend their hard earned money voting for them.
Thanks for answering my poll everyone !
I think getting paid to vote would rate right up there with registering to vote while at Wal-Mart because someone is there signing people up. I doubt if anyone in either case would make an informed decision, they would base thier vote on hear say or hatered. I would much rather see us have a basic quiz about the canidates or issues before one was allowed to vote.
If I don't know about an issue before I go into the voting booth, I don't vote one way or the other. Of course if there is only one name for an elected position I don't place a vote there either, I figure if they can't go and vote for themself then they don't deserve to be in office
im with bubbles....if they paid us 20 bucks to vote.....a heck of a lot more folks would vote in elections!!! for shure!!!!
Yes, I would pay the $20 to vote. I want to be counted among those who vote. I have friends who refuse to vote and then they complain about everything. I always tell them that they gave up their right to complain when they chose NOT to vote. To me if some choose apathy rather than being proactive, it's on them if they are unhappy with the outcome.
I am down with bubbles.......They need to pay me to vote with all that campaign money.....:-))))
Go Hillary !!!!!!
