Crazy Dreams

ok.....I have been having quite a few dreams over the past 2 weeks about pills.  But last night's dream really scared the crap out of me.......can anybody give me any insight on why I am dreaming about them??  

Last night, I dreamed about robbing dead bodies, and in old people's house after they have passed and searching for pills.  It wasn't just any people though, it was an elderly lady I use to clean for, my great grandmother, people I knew.

The sad thing about it, is I actually took a pill in my dream last night.  I do remember feeling very disappointed in myself and mad at myself that I did it.

I woke up in a fury.....jumped out of bed...(which I never do) lol  and came storming through the livingroom.....the kids and malcolm asked "What's up with you"  all I could say was "I had a really bad dream"  and went to the laundry room.

It took me a minute to shake it off.....because I woke up feeling like I really did take one.....my husband came in asked me if I was ok, I told him my dream......and he said "Wow, that was a bad dream"  and proceeded to ask if I have taken one?  Of course I shouted NO!  lol  

But this dream worries me.......I'm feeling like I am going to fail ........and I know...I know...if I do....I do.....but I can't.....I REALLY CAN'T!!!

Why in the world am I having these crazy outrageous dreams about pills????

hey, remember what we talked about not freaking out because it only make things worse ? that's it.....those dreams are normal and THEY DON'T MEAN YOU ARE GOING TO USE OR THAT YOU ARE GOING TO FAIL :)

just repeat the capital letters whenever you feel  :)

Thanks guys......real glad to know it's normal.  And even more relieved that it's not revealing that I may use real soon.

I guess I just got so worked up over it, because in my dream, I didn't fight the thought of using.....I just pulled it out of my pocket and took it.....but did feel awlful about using again........maybe it's a reality check....that if I am tempted to use again, I can think back on this dream and think to myself how bad I felt for falling into the trap again.....

I to have had so many using dreams. Some times I use and sometimes I accidentally use lol and I wake up panicked. They have gotten better over time and now only when I am really stressed or angry. Like Vicky said it's just your brain sorting out. It doesn't mean that we will use or that we want to use. Best of luck Becca

Cris~  These dreams are very,very common for many of us.  They are disturbing to say the least.

While you are recovering,especially in the early weeks,you will have a few of these. Just
know that going in !!    Eventually,you will not take a pill in the dream. Your subconscience is working through dreams and trying to settle.  Don't worry...
