it's all good...let us know how the doctor appointment goes. Don't take drugs for pain that you get from friends-it's a slippery slope and at the bottom is addiction

I wanted to know because I have legit pain and (please dont yell) a friend of mine gave me darvocet for break thru pain cuz my sciatic nerve is killiing me.  I take a time released hydro product and I've been taking it for a while, but since its time released my tolerance isnt very high.  2 tylenol 3s worked for me in the past and I wanted to know if I should take the darvocet and if I did take it how much.  The friend told me to take 4 which I wasnt gonna do, I did post this on both sides and got an answer from the other side last night.  I didnt look over here til right now since last night.  I have a doctor apt this week so I am gonna mention to her that I have a lot of pain that I can feel thru the regular medicine.  Thx for asking, sorry I didnt check back here, I almost forgot I posted that over here.

The Darvon (propoxyphene hydrochloride) is about a glorified aspirin....years ago they had codeine in them. The Tylenol 3's are 30mg of codeine and 300 of acetaminiphen. They are the stronger of the two.

I at least know that t-3s do work,i dont like them as codien makes me Red,ichy and hyper,as for the darvocet,i asks for it once,and never asked for it again,I dont know if it was worth giving it away. The drug of choice at that time was THe Percocets, Endo,s to be exact.Those where the days before the ocys came on board.
