that's good news , i am glad that it seems everything is going as best as it could be considering the circunstances
We are both doing ok, I took Ash to the ortho today to find out about the rotator cuff tear and he said it is minimal and shouldn't require surgery just PT. Ash is going to start PT next Monday. She is staeting to feel better now that all of the swellng and her ribs are calming down. Thanks for checking in on both of us and I hope you had a great New years eve & day.---Rick & Ashley
so how are you doing ? how is Ashley ?
Sara---We have some left over if you want to come for dinner....Ash is feeling a little better today but she is still very sore and the brave sole is dealing with the pain with motrin and naproxen God Bless her.
I still want fish...........
Seriously here do you have to go into great detail about the fish you are eating?!! You are talking to a girl from Minnesota who thinks Red Lobster is to die for!!! lol
I remember the meals that would come out of the Fire Station. Such good times. Well now i miss my dad and i want some fish........
Anyways i am really happy to hear you both got a good nights sleep and she glittered up her nose!!
Happy New Year Rick and Ashley~~~~~~sara
Yes Ashley is a very strong lady and I am going to take good care of her for however long it takes. As far as dinner this evening Ash doesn't really like lobster so I went to the fish store and picked up a couple branzino fillets (mediterranean sea bass) and I am going to make Lemon-Stuffed Grilled Branzino with mixed vegetables ( chopped red potato, onion, carrot, minced garlic, sweet red pepper, tomato and sliced ripe olives). I love to cook especially for my honey and it reminds me of the days at the Fire Station. thanks for checking in on us we really appreciate it. Well have to go and grill the fish now, God Bless---Rick & Ashley
Just caught the post about the accident and Ashley. It is certainly great to hear that she is doing okay. Tell her to stay in bed as much as possible. This way you can serve her hand and foot. A sort of reversal in roles. If that accident had done damage to a man he would be whining and sniveling which is what I am wont to do when I get even the smallest boo boo. I cry for mommy who doesn't hesitate to nurse me and usually with good humor. On the other hand I usually do the same for her unless there is a sports game on TV and then I use the phrase, "In a minute dear," which lasts until a commercial or the end of the game. This of course causes her to forget dinner whan she is better and then boy does she get even.
I am glad to hear she is up and about and got some rest. She is a strong lady and will be back to her old self in no time.
In the meantime, how are you going to top that delicious dinner that you made last night? I have to suggest some nice broiled Lobster, it always helps me feel better..lol
Everyone---Thank you all for thoughts and concerns; Ashley is doing better today she slept through the night once she found a comfortable position in which to sleep. I finally got a good nights sleep myself. Ash is still really sore all over especially her ribs and her shoulder, she has to go see the ortho doc Monday as when she dislocated her shoulder the MRI showed she may have possibly tore her rotator cuff. As far as the pain meds she is taking motrin and if the pain gets worse she still has a few percs that they sent her home with. Ash said that she is probably not going to fill the script they gave her cause the motrin seems to be working. Ash's friend came over today to stay with her while I went into the office for a few hours and they accessorised Ash's nose splint with some makeup and glitter LMAO (crazy girls). BTW the Tilapia was delicious. Thank you all for thoughts and kindness it helped greatly. God Bless all of you and Have a Happy New Year---Rick & Ashley
REALLY glad she is home with you now. Try and relax!
Addict, I can't stop laughing. A man who understands, go figure!! I will further guess you didn't get your wife anything for Christmas this year that "plugs in". I will bet you made that mistake a time or two also. ROFL
Rick, give us an update on how you are both doing.
How did the first night home go?
that's what i call being smart , well done
wow, the menu sounds delicious, i am sure you enjoyed it !!
I am happy to hear she is home!!
Supper sounds wonderful!!
I'm glad she's home with you Rick. Now you'll be able to sleep...
Keep us posted...
Laurel--Oh believe me Ash and I already discussed if she fills the script it will be in her hands only. I don't even want to see the nasty little devils. As a matter of fact our neighbor offered to go get them and hand them directly to Ash. As far as the racoon thig I told Ash that she is the sexiest looking looking racoon I have ever seen so that brought a smile and an attemped hug but that created a big ouch. Yes I am a great cook and I am making her favorite meal Talipia over mashed potatos and asparagas with hollandaise sauce. Thanks for your thoughts and concerns---Rick
This is great news, Rick :) ... about the racoon comment, hummm at least tell her she is the most beautiful racoon you have ever seen ( this should make up for keeping up our girlie spirit high ) and do remember never to trust yourself with the pills, you have been through a stressful time so better be safe about this, she is the one to hold her pills, we always have to be smarter than our disease, ok ? :)
tell her that i am happy that she is all right and back home and enjoy you two the dinner ( hope you are a good chef Lol)
Good for you telling her she was the sexiest racoon you had ever seen. Just don't say anything about fat, or plump racoons..............ask me how I know. You might just look like a set of twins!
I hope your wife gets to feeling better soon. Please be very cautious about the pills in the house.
