I love "the soup", it kinda is like Tosh.
As far as the tragic/happy stuff, it's like the show supernatural.
Oh no, I totally get that! I feel like that sometimes too - it does help me put things into perspective to watch difficult or tragic stories whether fiction or non-fiction. That's probably why I loved the movie "American Beauty" - horrible tragic ending and such dysfunction in that family. And it does help me recognize the good stuff in my life. Nothing strange there in my book. :)
So no, don't think you're a weirdo! If I did, that would make me one too and well, that's just unacceptable! LOL :)
Okay I am going to say up front that I am a total weirdo and while I absolutely love Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Simpsons and Tosh.0, I watch really intense documentaries and stuff like Ghandi when I'm in a bad state of mind. I love to learn, and when I witness greater tragedies than my own little problems it really puts life in perspective for me. I like heavy stuff, maybe it makes me feel more compassion for others worse off and reminds me that I do still have feelings and a big heart and I'm okay, even when I feel like I'm not. Sad stuff ultimately makes me feel more motivated and therefore, better than I felt when I was just stuck in my own head. But that's just me! ;-P
Me too! Here's a big shout out to Blue Oyster Cult!! LOL
Now I have that song stuck in my head...lol
Ah yes, Gene Frenkle R.I.P. - I gotta fever and the only prescription is more cow bell! Great skit. :)
How about "More Cow Bell".....I am not a Will Ferrell fan but that skit cracked me up....
Oops - love Will Ferrell too - especially from the old SNL days - the over-enthusiastic cheerleader sketches kill me every time. :)
Yes! Beverly Hills Cop - SO funny and yes, for the 33rd time :) I saw Eddie Murphy live back in the late 80's (think it was his "Raw" tour) and he was hilarious.
Also Vacation is still a good movie, Summer Rental and Back to School. Haven't seen the Simpsons movie, but love the show, or the South Park movie, also love the show.
And The Office, the one from England, with Ricky Gervais is really funny too. :)
Which one you like the most? I think Anchorman is my favorite.
Also I like Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the dead............I guess I am rare because I am the only one in the family that likes those. I don't know the actors names, but they are goofs as well.
IBKleen, I hurt from laughing everytime I watch eddie murphies "delerious".
When i feel sad i always like films with Will Ferrell. The guy is such a goof.
Also, i like Eastbound and Down about a washed up, coke addicted, baseball player.
Flight of the Conchords is always good for a laugh with some local humour.
I watched Beverly Hills Cop the other night and darn near peed myself. Maybe I have a warped sense of humor, but I found it very funny for the 32nd time!
That's what I said, sosay.
Another good one to watch when bored or need some cheering up is the simpsons movie or the south park movie.
Keyser Soze - close enough! :)
Pacino was in "carlito's way", but I didn't watch part two........pud or p diddy or puffy d or artist formerly known as P didn't seem to great in the movie from parts I saw........
Kevin Spacey is good, I like "The negotioator", and common, "The usual suspects" great movie.
I am kaiser sosay (don't know his last name).
Yes!! Carlito's Way - excellent movie. Well done IBKleen! :) p.s no your mind is not turning to mush! :) p.p.s. your advice here is amazing.
You forgot "Carlito's Way". Or is my mind turning to mush.....either is possible...LOL
Oops - threw in L.A. Confidential although not a DeNiro film - but I love Kevin Spacey too. At least with most of his movies (forget about KPax though - seriously BAD movie) :)
Of course I would put Casino on that list!!!!!! Great movie - love DeNiro in anything that he does. So great.. :) p.s. also A Bronx Tale, L.A. Confidential, heck, even Meet the Parents (but definitely NOT any of the sequels to this movie - UGH) - I'm a HUGE DeNiro fan. :) Also a huge Pacino fan - Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface, ..And Justice for All, Devil's Advocate. All favorites of mine. Haven't seen "Your don't know Jack" yet from HBO but will soon.
Would you put "casino" on that list?
I just saw that episode last night, when it wears off AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
The Office
American Beauty (one of the saddest and funniest movies ever in my opinion)
Goodfellas
The G-dfather
Edward Scissorhands
House
The Closer
There's Something About Mary
and of course,
Family Guy! (guiltyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!)
:)
Corky Romano....fave part "anyone, anyone, you, no, anyone, anyone?". Gets me everytime
Yes, for sure. It's one of Joe's lighter movies and it's great.
Not sure if you have seen it, but also "Corky Ramono".
