Two minutes of venting

All right.

I was just working with a bottle of crazy glue, doing a repair, when the bloody bottle slipped out of my hand, flipped around, ad sprayed crazy glue all over the glass screen of the television. I'm talking long lines running down the screen.

And OF COURSE my wife is out of nail polish remover.

So this is one of those frustrating moments that would make Saint Francis of Assisi want to kick kittens.

Try some WD-40. Not sure if it will work with superglue but it removes everything else.......roofing tar.....oil paint and stains.
I repaired my own roof last year and had tar all over me. I just sprayed some WD-40 on and it came right off, pretty cool.

Can you scrape it with a razor blade after it dries? Or is it the newer tv type? Or maybe an ice cube to get it cold and then scrape it? Yuck!

i had a couple of things like this happen to me yesterday, first i was building a cyote fence, the type they use in south america with the sticks, i took the sledge hammer and banged the post down in the ground, then i noticed the spade at the bottom was large enough to jump on, so i jumped on the base of the post and the spade went through my shoes and into my foot, after sawing sticks for several hours my arms were tired so i decided to step on the sticks for a quick break, i have seen men do this so many time, usually around a camp fire, it looks so simple just flip the stick over and step on its weaker side, i jumped too hard on the big stick and the other end flew up hit me so hard on my face then came down heavy on my wrist and broke my wrist, i really did kick my own butt yesterday, my friends said they are going to make a country girl out of me, i dont know about all that, i did finish my fence, i will post a pic

Super glue on glass will never be fully removed no matter what you use. Using a razor blade very carefully should remove the bulk of the glue. The rest is usually done with anything that contains acetone. However no matter how hard you try there will be a patch of white where you removed it. This should not hinder your watching of TV because the white will be somewhat faint. It may, over a period of time with constant attempts at removal make it to the point where it will be hardly noticeable. Super glue has been the bane of many households since it was created and the cause of the air turning blue when it is involved in a mishap. You should also use soap and water occasionally or even alcohol, what a waste!
