Dust.. Although this book wasn't as bad as the last, it feels doom filled. Trust issues, dark characters, and slow! I mean 70 pages into the book she still hadn't left with Marino to examine the body. She uses 600 plus pages to say would could have been said in 200.
I miss her early writing style. And I really miss when the characters loved and respected each other.
All of Ian Flemmings James Bond novels.
P G Wodehouse has written over 70 novels. I've. Probably read at least 20. Wodehouse is really funny on Books on Tape. I had an office quite a distance & the commute was 3 1/2 hours round trip. Books on tape saved me. Liked to listen to Tony Robbins( my friends & I call him Tony the Phony) but I like him.
Wayne Dyer,Norman Vincent Peele, lots of other motivational & goal setting Speakers. Old Bill Crosby stand-up & other humor on books on tape.
There are always those books you folks mentioned lieing around the house,as my husband Don goes for detective & mystery books. Pamela
Vicki I just finished dust and I didn't think it was one of her best. I kinda kept hoping it would pick up or have a surprise ending. I guess I just expected more based on my past experiences with her books..

I just started reading Sycamore Row by John Grishom. I hope I like it. So far it seems a little slow, or maybe I don't have a good attention span right now.
Also, I recently downloaded, but haven't started yet, The First Phone Call From Heaven, by Mitch Albom. He also wrote Tuesdays With Morrie. It's getting rave reviews. Anyone read this?
Has anyone read Patricia Cornwell's new book, "DUST"? What did you think? I thought it was pretty bad and so unlike all her others...just so boring...

I'm reading some random addiction book. I am wondering if anyone knows of a book ( memoir) on pill addiction, that takes you through their whole journey. How it started, how they hopefully got into recovery and returned to a semi normal life. But realistic. A regular housewife or husband.
Thank you.
Now I want to read all day...lol

Feeling Good by David D. Burns M.D.
This is the Bible of Cognative Therapy and is practical in retraining negative thoughts into productive ones .
Majester Ludi by Herman Hesse is about a fictional university of geniuses and elite intellectual artists. Epic but pretty heavy.
You know...when the book and movie of Valley of the Dolls came out, I was pretty young. I knew who the three actresses were in the movie and as for the " Dolls"...I really thought it was a reference to the three girls! I had no idea...LOL. Of course, I do now...
