what everyone doing/being for halloween???

heres a little info about the day...

Halloween (also spelled Hallowe'en) is an annual holiday celebrated on October 31.

It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holy day of All Saints’ Day. It is largely a secular celebration, but some have expressed strong feelings about perceived religious overtones.[1][2][3] Irish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America during Ireland's Great Famine of 1846.[4]

The day is often associated with orange and black, and is strongly associated with symbols like the jack-o'-lantern. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, wearing costumes and attending costume parties, ghost tours, bonfires, visiting haunted attractions, pranks, reading scary stories, and watching horror films.

Ah, Halloween =)
When I was a kid and went for trick or treating no one here in Norway even knew what it was. We had to press up flyers with info about the holiday. Of course people were more scared about or costumes when they weren't expecting it =P

Today it has become quite common though. This year it is a party on a local bar and bowling which is run by a friend of mine, but I don't know what to go as yet. Last year I was Cruella de Vil and won best costume =)

I am already working on our annual hayride...Halloween party...we have forty acres (most are woods) we have soooo many decorations..we feed everyone (chili dogs, chips, dips..drinks) We have at over 50 every yr....It is a BIG thing at our house...much candy and games for kids...
I think this yr I am gonna be a HIPPY...LOL I dont like to be scary...cause of the kids...

i am going to a work party, and dressing as a redneck.....not that i think rednecks are scary(not wanting to offend anyone) but at my job (nursing home-nothing real goory) we had a list of 45 things we could be and i happened to be number 42 to pick and all that was left was
1) School teacher
2)Nurse(dress like that every day so did not see point in this one except maybe if I could not afford custom)
3) redneck
4) doctor
So as you see not great options
