I too am so sorry, that post brought tears to my eyes as well. Life is so unfair allot of times. thinking of you;

I respect any man who makes his sauce from scratch and not pour from a jar. If pancetta, parmigiano-reggiano, and heavy cream came in capsules, I'd have been on a alfredo taper a month ago. great Italian food is definitely my DOC. I make my own pasta, too. One of the greatest joys in life!!
That is one of the things I miss most is my hubby cooking for me. If I was sitting at computer working, he would even fix my plate and bring it to me. Even the kids have said if he could come back for just one hour, that they would like for us all to just enjoy a meal together. Sometimes I think I would want to go dancing, but when I think about it, I guess just sitting down and eating with him would be the best. Weird how much it means to just be able to sit down and enjoy a meal with someone you love. Billy was the best cook and I was so fortunate that he loved to cook. If I am every rich or win the lottery, I will definitely have a live-in housekeeper and cook. Billy made the best biscuits and gravy, hamburgers/steaks on the grill, potato soup, all kinds of things none of us have had now in over four years. I tried to cook some of his special dishes and it just does not work.
you know, what occurred to me as I read your post is what a gift it was to have him for the time you did.
i wish you well, gw...
with luv,
mj

"my jeans are hanging off my rear end"
GOD I WISH!
LOL
lol! I'm sure you look great... stress - and detox - is an amazing diet tho, I must say...
I guess I am fortunate that I have been having issues with my weight and keeping it on... I lost 12 pounds while planning my wedding a few months ago then I detoxed... so haven't gained any back.. and my jeans are hanging off my rear end.. so I am eating whatever he cooks... I am quite small to begin with so 12 lbs looks like 20... I am starting to feel like Nicole Richie... yikes
... my ex b.f. cooked all the time - amazing food - the best I'd ever eaten. in less than 2 years, I gained 15 lb's! thank goodness he turned out to be a ****.. I would have turned into a tank. :-)
LMAO.... that was funny..
And yes I am blessed... a man that cooks and makes from scratch should never be taken for granted
... you should all know that I am typing this with Fiddle Faddle breath. No lie.
My new addiction is my husbands homemade fettucini alfredo.. He is out there making noodles by hand as I type this.... I am very lucky he enables me with this...
hahaha!! I TOTALLY get that! NOTHING better than an good ol, heavy, crusty yummy apple fritter!
Unbelievable. Making noodles by hand.. you are a blessed woman.
OK! THAT'S NOT A FAIR FIGHT! i AM SERIOUSLY JONESING RIGHT NOT FOR A HOT GREASY APPLE FRITTER, (SEVERAL)
there can never be too many.. :-)
