Hi to all, I'm new and confused.. I overdosed last week and was in hospital for a few days. i have been on xanax for three years after i lost my baby and last week was just too much for me. I have abused xanax and it just got too much for me and drank and took the pills until i ended up in hospital. Im home now and I saw the doctor today. My last xanax was yesterday and now he has given me lexotanil bromazepam for a month. After that its cold turkey. I don't trust myself not to go 'crazy' in the head again like last week. I don't know what to do or how to do it or whether to take what he gave me or just go cold turkey. I'm so confused... I thank God for this site, I found it yesterday and felt thankfull that there were others like me. I thought I was alone and stupid and dumb. God bless us all on our journey x

Girl you better take care of yourself. I want to meet you and get to know you and you are bringing me a shot glass. I've never lost a baby seeing as i'm a man but my wife did when we first got together and it's not an easy thing to deal with. Life goes on sweetie and you have to know things happen for a reason. God obviously had different plans for you and that baby. You have come to a good place and you are doing good by reaching out. Zanax is a benzodiazepine - you have been on them 3 years and you had a near death experience from them. I believe that only two types of w/d's can actually be fatal - alcohol and benzo's...... follow your doctors advice.

Although I have no first hand experience with zanex . I am pretty certain you should not go cold turkey off these.  I would take and do as your doctor says. Keep reading and posting on the forum . It will help..     Mary
