sigh....the time is getting closer

as the calendar drifts closer and closer to fall, the weather here in northern New England is beginning to feel it...not too far north the trees are turning, and barring any heavy rain, I expect a beautiful fall here..one of the few things I like about New England.....

But, the saddest part for me is it is about time to put the shorts (outterwear) away..Oh..we might have a couple hours during the day where theyre comfortable but not in the AM and certainly not after about3-4PM and those times are slipping almost eac day....looking at the weather forecast it does not look like shorts weather.

After a day of work, I have to get out of the house for a little bit, and I grab my dot (Bear) some cigs, my IPOD or CDs and head out for ride in my truck..having XM radio and the Springsteen ang Grateful Dead channels blasing, windows open, shorts and a T shirt....wat could be better...so..so long old friends..probably after this weekend,,,,stay well til next spring..late May hopefully..and soon it will be tme to get the snow thrower ready to go.....

If I hate ths stuff so much wht am I doing heree

thank for listening my friends

well, Eagle...XM radio (and Sirius) are subscription services (kinda like cable TV) and run roughly $150/year and you can get it for indoors...if you buy the right set up for your car you can just bring it inside and plug it into a docking station, then your stereo gear and you're off to the races...Or you can set up so you only get it on your computer...can't remeber the prices..but it's well worth it..about 200 channels of everything you can think of including an all Springsteen channel and all Grateful Dead channel, blues, jazz, classical (several choices of each) 40s, 50s, 60s 70s, 80s and 90s music, sports of all sorts and that is just scratching the surface...I've had mine almost 2 years and I haven't listened to regular radio for more than 20 minutes.

I think I have SAD, too which doesnt help and yes the days are shorter..escpecially up here in the nothern hinterlands...it seems every day it's getting darker sooner

I use my XP for hauling around music too...got tired of hauling around bags of CDs eveywhere I go..even if I was driving 15 mins for cigs..gotta take a mess of CDs with me..

Well, my own Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) has been creeping slowly into gear for a couple weeks now.  The days (and daylight...) are noticeably shorter today than they were yesterday!!  Dont have XM Radio unless its on my laptop - - but I have plenty of CD's and electronic devices that hold music that can transcend weather.......  We can get through this.....
