have pets helped anyone else?

im just wondering if they have helped anyone else cause i know when i got this little one(piper) she helped me more than i ever thought an animal could she is so cute and so funny that just having her around kept me laughing and watching her that it made me happy and helped me get thru the withdrawals so much easier than before maybe its just me i dunno so i figured i would ask if anyone else's pet(s) have helped them thru their hard times

Yes 4 cats here not to mention the all the critters that live around here.

thanx everyone yea she is adorable but she is a handful without a doubt but really smart actually smarter than a dog and learns really really fast she was my valentines present hahaha only in southeast georgia :)

My horse and my fat cat helped me more thru my withdrawl period than anyone else.. I could just cry myself a river into my horses mane and he never talked back.. just stood there and loved me and let me love him... and my fat cat would just sit on my chest and purr the pain away ...

Animals have an amazing ability to heal....

I WANT ONE!!  She is adorable!  My two dogs help me tremendously!

OMG how adorable.  I can only have a fish in my apartment (His name is BOB) and he is relatively new to the family so I cant really say he helped, but if we did have a dog I am positive he or she would have helped a lot.  Withdrawal is a lot easier when you are mentally busy and not obsessed over how miserable you feel.  Anything to take your mind off of it is helpful.
