Poem I wrote in CT week.

I used to write a lot...there is no scruture to this at all just pouring it out... just posting because maybe it can help

Mine mind's in a haze
running through a maze
with one way in & one way
out.

Wake up, pop a pill
counting down 'til my refill
Making calls, making lies
Just so I can have some highs

I take a seat in the maze
Just trying to delay
Keeping walls up around
not wanting to be found

Wake up, take a walk
call a friend for a talk
Head up, you want out
There's no need to pout

Get up! Wake up!!
Everyday is now.
Tomorrow will be now.
If I dont get out now I either
face it harder or have people
bawling over my casket
saying " what a shame."

Hell no, you won't take me out
You may drag me kicking & screaming
But only by my hands you stay alive
Starve *******! Die! You have no choice.

It lets go. I let go. I step on its face &
walk with my head held high.
As I turn & see the maze behind me.

I have written many a poem but none as deep as these. I bow to your excellent rendering of pain into words. They give an insight into you and also into those who can relate. Keep writing. It is a way of bringing everything you suffer into the light and gives you and others a chance to fight your demons face to face.

Thank you... here's another one I did.. I'm shakey right now b/c I haven't written since I started percs, but now I am starting to feel creative again

I stood alone within the crowd
My mind dreaming in a cloud
Always wanting that escape
From my surreal and endless
Thoughts

Not really knowing where I'm going
With all these changes undergoing
And memories playing like a song
that just won't leave my mind

Always feeling so misplaced
Deep inside an endless space
While losing myself within the loss
Of who I thought I was

Learning nothing is for certain
The stage is dark behind curtain
I quickly try to change the scene
and walk back into light.
