what is the best way to get off ativan safely?  I've been on it for three months at 1 mg perday.

i wouldn't taper or discontinue your dose until you ask your doctor. at that dose, i'm assuming you are taking them as prescribed anyway, so there's no reason you should be affraid to just give your doc a call.

At that dosage and that short of time period I think you could just stop but I would check with your dr since benzo withdrawal can cause seizures......Ativan is a relatively weak benzo when taken orally tho
