Thanks for that post , I looked it up very interesting , so I am not Nuts after all lol well maybe a bit nuts
Thanks again ......... useful info........ doctor I know from experience wont tell you every thing ....learnt that the hard way ............ here I am now after doctors
I learned about PAWS on the internet. I've never met a doctor or clinic worker who acknowledged its existence, I think it's a major reason for the high failure rate in opiate detox, the refusal of many medical proff's to acknowledge this syndrome. Just knowing about it helps. It's the difference between thinking you're just "damaged" and knowing there's a problem and a cure.
Thanks , what you wrote to me about getting up off the couch was what i needed to hear
I went out biking for 15 miles to day and it was a push but got into it after an hour and feel so much better......... I was thinking of all you guys while I was on the trails biking and said I am not the only one going trough this and know you all are in here going trough this roller coaster and
Knowing your guys are like me helped me (sorry not meaning badly) but if you guys can do it so can I
So thanks and need to remind myself of this every day ....... just to get my brain out of the fog and start doing my biking and hiking again ......... first good day in Months and hope day 5 gets better but we have to push our selves , its hard but rethinking of what I can do without pills for energy is better to know it my own energy , slower today but did a few hills of San Francisco and my fast pace will be back again too ....... Positive thinking Day 13th is today so we all need to do this ........ think good taught"
Thanks all of your words for me , you all are so good......... I am glad I found you all on this for help .
Love you all
Good energy in here :-)
they educated us about PAWS in detox. Id never even heard of it.
I never knew there was such an entity as Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome. googling this has helped me TREMENDOUSLY. thankyou thankyou thankyou.
I started on zoloft about ten days ago. im 35 days clean. My depression/anxiety is pretty much nil
Depression is very common. Depression plays a part during drugs use as well as after. While Beach is blunt, he is also right. I know it is hard and you really dont have the desire to do anything, it will only infuse your depression. Try to get outside and remember what your life was like before the drugs. Do you have insurance to maybe see a dr? There are books about PAWS, post accute withdrawal syndrome and books about what your mind/body actualy go through during and after drug use. See if you can go and buy "End your addiction now". It has alot of helpful info as well as Amino Acids that can be taken to rebuild what has been damaged. Only you can make your life better and change the person you once were. If you dont take control of the sitation, you will find youself right back to where you dont want to be. Good luck to you..

Depression is very common with users and when you stop using....it takes a complete change of life to help depression....
If you life is going bad depression comes in all the time it took a complete life style change and altering many ways I did things and thought about things to get well.......
You have to fix your life and get things in order, don't sit on the couch and think life owes you everything and it will fix itself just because you quit using.......
amino acids work very well, quitting drugs is not easy or everyone would do it, stay off the drugs for good, and everything will get better.
