Another victory!!

Hi All,

i havent posted in a while. Been so busy at work i could spit. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know I am so very very proud of me! I tore my hamstring on Sunday and went to the ER cause I couldnt even walk. I told them no narcs and only took advil. What a victory for me! That has never ( i mean never) happened before. 55 days today and i am feeling terrific!

Leg is still sore and still on crutches, but definitely managable. In former days, i would have "milked" this injury until the cow was dry! haha...

Hope everyone is doing great and staying strong. I kinda miss you guys...lol

Kathy

Wuzzzuuupppp sister!!! We miss you a lot around here.

Nice going by telling the doc NO DOPE!!!  That's so huge. Way to go by not compromising your sobriety! Now you can rest easy without fiending over the next dose. Who wudda though you would have 55 days already and be feeling great to boot. Keep posting your testimony here for the us and especially the newbie.

Luv ya sis!

I did the same thing the other day. Hurt my wrist and had to go to the doc. He asked if I wanted anything for pain, and I did, but I said no. He gave me an antiinflamitory and I was on my way. It was hard cause I wanted them so bad, but I know it was right.

That is really strong of you.Shows your determination to remain clean.
I pulled my back muscles again and am coping with extra strength tylenol and advil alternating.
They are keeping me going, but I understand your pain.
Everyone is babying me at home though.
I still go to work.
