Day 14 clean but stll feel bad.

I know it will take time. Just would like to know around what day should I feel better? I know everyone is different and I am coming off 13 years of opiates. Methadone 6 mouths ago and subs for the last 6 months. I did a very rapid detox off of methadone in 10 days at 120mg 6 months ago hey that was fun, not! I am very happy with myself about what I have done. It is just man this is wearing me out. I am fully bacck to work today and feel pretty bad. The crawling skin, weakness and no sleep is pretty bad but not as bad as it was.

Your story sounds very similar to mine, I jumped from meth to subs too, I jumped off subs at 4mgs and went through a rough first two weeks, your attitude is the same as mine too, whatever it takes right! I started to get some sleep around the 20 day mark, I slept very little before that an hour here and there. My sleep slowly improved from then on, it's not like it just comes back its more of a gradual build up, subs stay with you a lot longer than most drugs/pills. I was a heroin junkie, Valium to and anything else I could throw down my throat so I can tell you this is doable, especially with he great attitude you possess! Try exercising as much as possible as his will help with kickstart ing your mind and body, It helped me out massively. Melitonin is meant to help so try that, especially as you need sleep for work, and all the other great tips/advice above.

So very well done my friend, you got this, ;)

Most of the pain is the mental game trying to make you take a pill! Once I hit the 20 day mark my pain was so much lower! Now all I have to take is Alive or Ibuprofen for the pain! It does get better I promise! Look ahead not back and you got this! I have 2 bad discs in my back and can handle it... I know you can do this! I wil PM me if you have any questions or just need a friend!

Yes I do take Melitonin at night it helps but still not quite there yet to sleep good I guess. Yes I am so ready to be free and normal again. The ONLy thing that worries me is the reason why I started was my back and it is giving me some issues. But that could be the weakness and the withdrawls cause my legs also hurt as well. But if my back still gives me trouble once I know for sure it is my back and not the weakness, I will look for other ways. I do hope that my back is better. I got an MRI 3 years ago and the pinched nerve in my back was not there anymore

Try taking Melitonin for the sleep its over the counter and has helped me to get at least 6-8 hours a night. As for the mental part that takes time. I still have bad days when all I want to do is pop a pill. That's when I get busy, take a walk or get on this site! These people are amazing and full of knowledge! they have been there or are going threw the same as you!
You got this you are over the worst part. Just remember we did not become addicts over night and it takes time for our bodies and minds to reboot! my new motto is 1 is to many and 100 is not enough!
Keep up the good work so worth it in the long run!

Yes I have been drinking more and more water and taking vitamins. Been taking Withdrawl Ease as well. Also have clonidine which does help. So around day 20 maybe??? I will maybe start sleeping better? I can do that for sure. Well I am doing to do it no MATTER WHAT. I do not want to get high anymore I took this garbage for years now cause of the withdrawl systems and how bad I did not want to go though it. But now that I am over the hard part. The rest is just bad I can handle it. It just pretty bad right now. But not like it was.

Congratulations! I really started feeling better after about day 20 and now I am on day 30 and feeling great! Everyone is different but from what I have read here it seems to be normal....every day gets better! Are you taking vitamins and eating? The Thomas recipe helps so much. Keep up the good work and keep us posted!
