Hey Yall,
I was on methadone for 10 years 2 weeks ago I switched to SUBUTEX.  I gained a-lot of weight while I was methadone  about 80 pounds.   I bought an over the counter Diatary Supplement at wal-mart it's called Relacore. The bottle says the active ingrediants are Vitimin B6, Magnesium oxide, and Chromium.  I just want to be sure that it's ok for me to take the Relacore with my Subutex.  Please let me know what yall think.  Thanks AJ

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question :( But I wanted to ask you a question. Did the methadone cause you to gain the weight? Or did the lifestyle change after going on methadone cause you to gain the weight?
I'm asking because I recently started methadone and I have heard many people say they gained weight while on it.

Nothing in that will hurt you and its OK with subutex.The chromium decreases the desire for carbs and the b6 helps metabolize them as well as acts as a diuretic.The magnesium is always good for the heart muscle and all muscles.
I think to get the most effective weight loss a woman should not go under 1200 calories a day because the metabolism slows down too much if you do not eat enough calories.

I think the doc would be the best person to ask. In my personal experience those products are best used to complement a good diet and workout program.
