I hate tramadol!

Tramadol is not helping my back pain and it's making me ill. I have been in bed for two days straight now. I stopped taking it but I just want it out of my system. Have you guys ever experienced this?

I was detoxed off Opiates after many years on a pain pump and oral dilaudad.  However, the opiates only made the pain worse.  I have trigeminal neuralgia and I've had two brain surgeries fail me.  There is no cure.  So, I started on Tramadol and it worked for a couple weeks along with some xanax.  Now, I either need more or I need to go back to an opiate.  Or, I could end it all, but I have faith in God and I don't understand why I have what is known as "the suicide disease".  I'm struggling right now.  Used suboxone for 5 days to get off the opiates and may need to do the same to get off the Tramadol.  I'm in more pain than I can handle now, without something to help me.  I've just sent and email to my psychiatrist for help as I'm moving to another state; attending a conference in Las Vegas next week and will be traveling until Dec.... Maybe I should just take some xanax and a nap since that usually works.  I'm just afraid after what I've read about Tramadol.  I took it once before and stopped and had no reaction.  At least as far as I can remember.  It's possible that I went back into pain management.  This is my vicious circle the past 12 years.  I wish I was dead, but I'm not and I don't expect to be for quite some time. Pray for me please.

tramadol is a pain killer, it is non narcotic but it works likea narcotic by binding to the opiat receptors in your brain like oxy or perks.... Tram as i call it was my demon for 2 years and it damn near killed me getting off it.. i had WDs for 3 weeks trying to get off ot CT.. chills,sweats,runns,runny nose,
trimers no sleeep for days anxiaty, legs and arms jerking in my sleep. ringingin my ears,,, and much more... it is as addictive as narcotics but it managed my pain... dont take it if you dont need to because it wont get you off the narcs it will just prolong your WDs    jeffjeff   the **** is bad news

Thanks for the response. Emily, Tramadol is a new age type of pain pill. It's supposed to be non-narcotic, I think. They give it to people, well, in my experience, they give it to me because I am addicted to narcotic pain pills.

I hated Tramodol as well... it should be out of your system in 3 days or so.. Made me have anxiety attacks.. gave me a headache.. and apparently didn't mix well with my Lexapro.. my doc never should have gave it to me.. Get a heating pad take some 800 IBU... sorry you are hurting..
