Hi well detox is different for everyone........it is not uncommon for symptoms to come back it takes a wile for your brain to rewire itself with the lack of endorphin from the pills....as for a time line if your habit wasent to bad you should start to feel better in a month sleep returns slowly first it is a hour here and there then a few then some sleep you just have to get by on catnaps when I came off methadone my sleep was a mess for around 90 days but methadone hands down is the worst of the worst to detox off of just hang in there and know it will end sooner or later as for the legs I used the highlands restful legs and it helped also try a nice hot soak b/4 bed then rap your legs tightly in a blanket kinda like swaddling a baby that helped a lot for me keep posting for support where all here for you................Gnarly................
I tried to pick up GABA today and the drug store didn't carry it. I am going to order it online. Oh man I long for sleep!!! So happy to hear yours has come back.
I was right where you are at day 14. didn't have rls til then. I swear by the magnesium, potassium, and GABA supplements. Took them day 16 and still do. haven't had rls since and sleep finally has come back too. AND icy hot was my bff. smells bad but it helped too. I hope you find relief soon
just like I stated before give the hyland products a try check them out online they have RLS PM stuff now also and its all natural.
I've heard of the Hyland Retful legs. My doctor perscribed me some meds for them and it didn't work, so I'll give that a try. As far as the sunglasses, hey why not. My family will think I'm nuts, but whatever works eh! Thanks for the tips
It's best to start a new tread for this question, you will get more answers. If isshe can the best way is to start tapering down slowly. This way she will avoid serious withdrawal and still be able to look offer her family. Tell her she should talk to her doctor about a tapering schedule.
Hi maybe ask your Doc for a prescription of requip. I don't think it's addictive and it might do the trick. I hope so, you certainly deserve it!

Hi could you suggest the easiest way to stop using meth. A friend started using 3 months ago I believe and now wants to stop. She is scared of detox and has an entire family depending on her. And not much money after bills. I don't know how to help other than babysitting and cooking while she is down . Is there any supplements she may need?
Better sleep tip (can't hurt, might help): wear sunglasses for two hours before bed if you have any turned on and light emitting PCs, TVs, CFLs, fluorescents, cellphones or street lights within your field of view at that time (incandescent lighting's not a concern). Because, those lights emit blue light that suppresses your melatonin production (our sleep hormone).
Merely yellow tinted sunglasses amply suffice for this (and without blocking most of the lighting), something to seek out if you find regular sunglasses work miracles.
Actually it's called Hylands Restful Legs. Which makes sense unless someone was actually trying to get restless legs.
First of all congratulations on getting to day 15. Very soon you should have little to no physical symptoms at all. Getting a good nights sleep seems to be the last thing to return to normal. As far as the restless legs goes there is an over the counter thing I've seen here called Hylands Restless Legs, which is sold at most drugs stores. You can give the a try.
