vicodin addiction

i have been on about 1 vicodin a day for almost a year and would like to get off it..any tips for me.last dental visit they gave me tylonol 3 its has codine in it...i dont want on any of it...but they cant seem to fix my tooth pain...i dont know if Im addictd..but there are days im so gripey and my tummy looks bloated...could these symtopms be from the pain pills.

No I havent been to the dr about the bloating. but I go see my female dr next week about my hormones....so i will ask her...what should I expect if i just stop the vicodin? Im addicted to xanax for anxiety been on it for so many years. Thank You

Thank you,Mostly its the vicodin I have been on the most..was only on the Tylonol 3 for like 10 days and the dentist put me back on the vicodin...i know at first i was on a bit more of vicodin and it made me feel up.maybe its all the stress in my life but i feel kinda down and not much energy.Im also kinda gripey..could be the tooth pain its been going on for years and my dentist cant seem to find the reason. Still i want off the pain pills..do u know what i should expect if i just stop them cold turkey.

Codien is a weak narc.. but still a narc.. so take care and only take as prescribed.. If you think motrin will work try all alternatives and give the codien to someone you trust.  If the motrin or tylonol works.. flush the codien... If you feel you may be an addict don't test the idea............. Prayin for you and your tooth pain..... your friend Rick    hope i helped

Have you been to the doctor for the bloating?  You are on a low dose of vicodin so i dont think that would be causing it but i am no doctor either.  I would just stop taking the pills.  You will have a few days of discomfort and there are things you can do to help ease that.  Keep talking with us~~~sara
