20 Hydro's a day...I am done! Day 4 and I am never taking another hydro again!

How I got up to (20) 7.5/500 hydro's a day is beyond me. 2 weeks ago, a good doctor and the grace of God opened my eyes to my true addiction. Even though I do have legit knee pain, tramadol and IBU work just fine for my pain with no hydros!

2 weeks ago I finally accepted the fact, that I have become fully in bondage to this drug. I finally decided to give them up for GOOD, 4 days ago. I realized that I was taking a drug other for the original purpose it was designed for....I had to take them just to live and function!

I truly have no control over these hydro's. However, once I accepted the cold hard fact that my life was going totally the opposite way God and myself wanted it too, my true desire in surrendering it all over to Jesus Christ, and place all my trust and faith in Him, is what is giving me the strength to overcome this adddiction for good!

It is Day 4, and I have never ever felt this good before, in all the other attempts I have stopped and quit, 50x plus!!!  Got up early and I am actually going to go get a nice healthy breakfast!

I have missed you all alot!....LISA, FLADDICT, R2R, MJ, RED.. MY SISTER IN CHRIST..LOL, GOING TO MAKE IT, AND ALL THE REST OF YOU!

Yeah, unfortunatly on day 7 (about 5 months ago) I was not ready to quit. I just quit because I ran out. Then the pain in my knees got so bad, that's when I went to see the doc, and guess what he gave me...hydros, and I was in pain and so weak, nor did I have the right motive for quiting...so somehow between then and 4 days ago I managed to work the hydros up to 18-20 a day...insane isnt it??

However this time I sought the Lord, I still had 2 bottles left, and truly realized that this drug was controling every aspect of my life....So, I dropped to my knees, broken but willing, and cryed out to Jesus, and I can not even explain the difference from this time, from all the other times I quit and failed.

I'm glad I scrolled down a caught your ressponse...miss talken with you!

Funny how things work...I was going through my 'friends' list the other day when I seen your name there..and I thought, well the last I heard from him he was starting a new job and was all excited about it...must have kept him very busy...he's not coming back. Now how do i get rid of his square...Well God said 'nope, not yet newgirl, not yet' So there you are...wish it wasn't for the reason it is, but nonetheless...glad to hear from you again...

Cathy...I am glad to here your daughter got off oxy! Opiates are to powerful to start at a young age...how long has she been off them now?

I read that you were on 20 - 7.5's a day.  Then i really feel bad about myself... and i don't know how it happened it either... I take 8 - 30mg oxycodone, THREE times per day - That is like 720mgs per day.  Someone stold my purse last Friday a week ago and oh boy, the withdrawls!  Thought i was going to die.  Went to the emergency room and they didn't help me at all - not even a tylenol!  My dr is out of town - of course! What else do the rich do except "vacation" wihile i am here dying with all the stuff he put me on!!!  Sorry for being negative, but i can see you got NO problems!!!  Congratulations on staying away from the bad stuff.  I can tell you that that much tylenol (you were taking the 7.5/500 right?)  Well 20 - 500mg. tylenols will obliviate your kidneys, liver... Good thing you are done!  God Bless you man!!!

LOL..there are alot of Lisa's around here..not sure whats up with that..lol..anyway, I wish I could say i was great..but I'd be lying through my teeth. I am still off the drugs though..and I guess I see alot of things much more clearly than ever..sometimes it's not so pretty ..so anyway, just alot going on personally..I still live with my husband..thats about the extent. He is very addicited to Percocet and Norco. I will have to send you a pm..My daughter is still gone, I have no clue where except somewhere in the west..Please keep her in your prayers. She believes that Bob Marley was a profit..(like I said..I'll pm you.) Now lets see..there must be something positive..my 19 yr old son is doing great, I am very proud of him,17 yr old..not so good..11 yr old..is great a getting ready to start 7th grade..and my other 2 sweeties are going into 1st and 3rd..They are all good. We are all anxious for school to start though..lol

I was hoping to see you on the forum. I remember reading a post a few weeks ago, that you have had your victory over your addiction, by the grace of God.

I remember you wrote " I felt like I fought the devil himself and won!! "

So...I take it that all is still good right? I have missed talking with you. I am sooo happy for you Lisa!  Keep up the good fight!
