Is this normal?.....

I have been on Lortab 7.5/500mg for about 4-5 years daily. I have a legit prescription but I dont want to be dependent on them anymore so I started weening myself off of them. I was down to about 2 a day and I am about 15 minutes from 24 hours without any at all. I'm having somewithdrawls but whats worse is I have alergies and they started acting up yesterday (I guess from lowering my dose) and I'm trying to figure out if I have a cold on top of going through withdrawls or if the cough, cold & sore throat is the cold and the nausea and cold sweats is the withdrawls...if anyone knows please let me know.
Thanks

Flu type meds will help you for both the w/ds and cold. Drink lots of fluids. And hang in there. I liked Epsom salts in my hot baths. It forces magnesium into the muscles which helps them.

i'd say the cough and sore throat are a cold, the nausea and sweats would be w/d's, muscle aches are also part of w/d and part of having a cold.Hot baths will help. Good luck.

I'm in the same boat as you. According to people on this site, withdrawl feels like the flu. I have been tapering off. I was taking 6 vicodin 750 a day for like 2 years straight, but only when i was at work. Now, i have a not so physical job and i tapered off to about 1-3 a day. Now I'm sick of being dependent on them and have my last refill. I have 60 of them and am just going to finish the bottle and be done.
