So sorry to hear you had a terrible panic attack, those are terrible....try taking really deep breaths with 10 second counts...really helps..
As far as the memory thing, very normal...And almost all of my friends ( who are not addicts) also complain about their memory...SO that always made me feel better...I still have to write everything down, then sometimes get to walmart, or whereever, and forget my list...LOL
hang in there

Thanks for the comments/advice, thankg the LORD my brain isnt fried LOL I had a panic attack last night at Christmas Eve at my mil's house, CRAVING vics, and literally shaking and nauseous wanting it so bad and panicking cause I didnt have it. It really freaked me out. Feeling a little better today, Everyone have a Merry Christmas!
thats completely normal...its part of paws post acute withdrawal symtoms..it actually can continue from one year to two years in some cases but on random days usually on day 30,90,180,360 and 2 years....you brain is basically in a fog right now, but once your completely sober and one random day come and you cant think and you feel depressed and nothing is right just realize it will go away its only paws....
i would also look up paws post acute withdrawal to anyone quiting pain killers or alcohol so you know what to expect to avoid relapse..
hope that helps...its completely normal :)
I agree with Eagle :) Really write things down for a few weeks I also experienced this when I was going through the process.. Congrats on day 5 all down hill now physically.. Mentally it takes a little longer.. Lesa
If it is your brain fried - mine is also..........good luck. Write things down for a week or two .....make lists......
