Congrats!!! Day 6 is a big turning point. I have noticed that the little things I never really noticed, such as the look in someone's eye, a real giggle or laugh has returned to me as well. This morning I was feeling an overwhelming desire to use (if I had some) on day 8. Woke up tired, achey, and a few of the w/d symptoms resurfaced (yawning, sneezing). Getting out of the house was the hardest part. Reading posts like these gives me encouragement to stay on the right track. I want to continue appreciating the things in life I though I had to dope myself up for to deal with. Thank you for posting today!
Hi Mikey , Happy for you , enjoy life ... Ron
GO MIKEY!!! I think you rode this journey for a bigger pourpose. You are very insightful and deep for your age and I wouldn't be surprised if you end up in a career helping others in addiction. You have a way of unlayering your feelings that is relatable. YOU did all the work and only YOU can keep from using. Be very careful of switching one demon for the next. I only say that cause many of us will do that thruout a lifetime. Can't wait to read your 30 day post! Doing mighty fine my friend.
Great Job, it's easy once you begin feeling better to get into the mindset of "just one will not hurt." Remember to keep your guard up, and keep on keeping on. Best Wishes.
Go MikeyCy, you're doing awesome!! I'm so proud of you and you're going to do great things one day...all while being clean and sober. You're an inspiration to many out there and you should feel so proud of yourself. You've been the best getting-clean-buddy I could've asked for! Keep moving ahead...aren't you so glad you didn't decide to taper and take your last pill today? Haha! Doesn't that seem like ages ago at this point?
