I have 4 kids also and my lil one is almost 3 but still occasionally wakes up during the night... I was scared to take sleep aid because I was afraid I wouldnt hear her.... but after a few nights of no sleep I had to...just could take it any more, thank God for mommy ears even on sleep aid I woke up to tend to her needs too. But your situation is different... I have c-sections and have taken pain meds for up to a month... Its hard, I had the challenge of being way to tried. Hope you get some rest when your friend comes over. Hang in there I dont feel you will be sleepless to much longer with your short time of use.

I can relate to what your going through.  I have 3 kids and my youngest was 1 year old when I quit.  It is definatly hard to keep up, but my husband helped me out so much.  I am glad someone is coming to help you.  You are almost at a week so the worst is almost over, so I hope that gives you a little hope.  If you are fearful of going to rehab you shouldn't be.  I went to rehab before I relapse this last time and I was pregnant.  They never even mentioned taking my kids away my dr. was actually happy that I was getting help.  The benadryl does help a little with the anxiety, but it didn't help me much with sleep.  Melatonin and Unisom helped so much.  Don't expect to get a good nights sleep for a while but you will get some and slowly your sleep schedule will get back on track.  Keep going you are doing great & remember the worst is almost over and your kids need their mom to be healthy.  So proud of you for five days.  Keep up the good work.

That's great someone will be there to help . The reason I asked about bottle fed is because if you weren't eating and breastfeeding it would make you weaker. Hun you should start to feel better in a couple more days. Keep pushing forward . Please take my advice in regards to the other things I mentioned. I have 4 children I know the work involved. You are going to be fine. Try not to stress out. Even if you can't sleep yet rest as much as possible. Take some hot baths with Epsom salts.
Praying for your strength and sleep to return,
Debbie

Do you have anyone who can help you for a week or two?
Was this the first time you ever had use drugs? Taking pills your husband got off the street? I thought it was a script from a doctor. Never wise to take something you aren't sure of what it is and what strength.
Please call someone to come help you. It is important to eat small amounts of food every hr or two. Soups, crackers, toast, yogurts. Drink plenty of fluids, Gatorade, boost, ensure, apple juice. Moving around is very important also to your healing.
is your baby bottle fed?
