No question - just need support

I've dealt with chronic pain for 30+ years. Many surgeries. Injections. You name it.
For the last several years I've been on vicodin and percocet.
I am now trying like mad to go off it all cuz I'm sick of this life. I need to be done.
I'm dealing with chills,  sweats, anxiety. I'm miserable.
But I can do this. I'm doing it. I just need someone to hold my hand and tell me I can do this.
I was taking around 80mg of vicodin or perc every day. The last few days I've only had about 10mg each day. Does it seem like maybe I'm on track to be off completely soon??

Pasquisha ... yes, you can do this!  you are doing this!  you are doing great.  Great that you went down to 10mg.  Now you need to pick a day and stop entirely, and get rid of all that you have so they are not there tempting you.  Keep posting as you get closer to your target date.  Good luck!

Congratulations on wanting to quit! I went cold turkey last August and made it til April when my horse threw me and fractured my spine and pelvis. I am now on day 3 of stopping again. Its hard but there are some wonderful people on here to help and guide you threw this! Have you looked up the Thomas recipe? The anxiety is the worst but after a few days it gets better... good luck and keep posting!

It can be done, quite a few on this site will chime In soon. If you can look up the Thomas recipe, It really will make a difference. Just being done with them is half the battle. Keep posting. You'll get lots of TLC here.
