Addicted to Vicodin

I have been taking vicodin for about two years now. I read some other posting and I dont really compare to the 15-20 pills a day. I only take one. And its for a screaming headache I have from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. Nothing else works and even then the vicodin only last a couple hours... I'm stuck! OUCH!!!!!!!!!

Yah, cut it in half... For a week then half again... You should feel minimal withdrawals, but also find a drug that will help with your headache

i went thru really bad WDs and was only taking 2-3 a day.  i was however taking them for years so that probably had a lot to do with it.  i suggest weaning down even if it's just one.  cut your pill i n half and take that for a week.  the next week cut the half in half so you have a quarter, that that for a week, then yes...cut the quarter in half until you have an 8th.

i am currently weaning myself off from a 2-3 day habit (again).  i am down to 2/4 of a pill and have experienced minimal WD.  basically, i just can't sleep but i don't have the anxiety and o don't feel like i am going to crawl out of my skin.

you will be ok.  do the weaning thing.  good luck

If you're only taking one pill a day, I don't think you're going to go through too much withdrawls coming off of them. But if this is the only thing working for you right now, you might want to speak wit the doctor about coming off of this medication and getting on something else. It never hurts to try something different if you're scared your pain will still be there when the pills are gone, I suppose...?
