I had a slip up

I had a slip up and drank a six pack this past weekend.  It is nothinng compared to what I normally drink.  Three beers in a day would hafve made me mad.  It is hard though, because now I have to explain to everyone that I did drink and broke the promise of never drinking again. I cannot stand breaking promises and wish alcohol was not such a big part of my life.

Hi...

i think that sometimes we keep making promises in the hope that the promises we have made will be enough to keep us on track..... and this is not enough when we are talking of addiction and it is sadly a way of hurting  ourselves and the others at the end, making promises...... I bet you are feeling really bad for breaking the promise and also you are blaming yourself. And this is not constructive for you well being.

ok, you are an addict and you may need help here now ... I'm sure the anxiety you are going through is building up inside you and this is a good reason why you have relapsed if you are not dealing with it in a proper way. Have you tried going for NA meetings ? you won't feel alone and you'll learn how to cope with anxiety too if you have't decided for the therapy i talked to you... There is always a way, don't give up, ok? :)
