Boredom was a huge problem for me throughout my early stages of recovery. For the first couple months, NOTHING interested me. But slowly you will find some things. My advice would be to learn to be able to sit with yourself. It will help you later on in recovery. And be patient, as this is nowhere near an overnight process. I started doing yoga, running (i'm up to 8 miles a day now), and you may find some books to be interesting. Some suggestions on books would be: Sylvia Brown, shes pretty good at what she does. I like musician biographies, they are usually extremely interesting, and anything inspirational, such as "chicken soup" books. Your emotions are running crazy right now, and if you are going to cry, it might as well be from something that will inspire you. Good luck, hope this helped a little.
I also bead work and make jewelry, scrapbooking, reading I like to walk but not now no energy.
Walking hellps me...I do a 7klm walk...almost daily....or the treadmill or rotten weather..
I also do puzzles keep my mind busy and off pills...looking at pictures..
