Thank you all! You're so sweet really thank you!
Naughty I LOVE it when I make you laugh! I hope I at least lighten the mood a bit. :) It's completelty intentional humor. I'd rather be laughing and in pain than just in pain. I love to laugh! Yep. I'm pretty sure it's a "vintage" 80's Turtleneck but now that brokenback has explained the metal toxins thing, I feel more confident that I won't need it!
((((brokenback)))) Good Golly! I am really sorry about the work you did where you breathed in metal and ... that all sounds just terrible. Really I feel like that would be very painful and scary. I really hope you are doing well now. Sending you extra energy!
Thank you all so much for your kindness and concern. Today has been the easiest day I have had since I started. Even though I worked 11 hours straight.
Love and healing,
Emily
if you were taking a "cocktail" of drugs than that might explain your problem...the only thing you have ever mentioned is tramadol..anyway..glad you are feeling better..
hey, don't worry too much about the metals detox. unless you have been around that kind of stuff. i worked in a CNC shop for 5 years. we machined parts all day. cutting different kinds of steel and aluminum, and metals. we breathed it in all day long, on our skin and you could even taste it sometimes.
I want to know where you found a turtleneck........must be leftover from the 80's.....lol. I'm not picking on you, girl.....dont get pee'd. The stuff you are saying is just cracking me up.......sorry...........;-))))
Hope you feel better soon.
Luv,
nauty..........
i also thought u were taking 200 mg of tramadol a day when u quit? I had thought at times that u have had an awfully hard time of it for that dose but everyone is different and we feel things differently....i had just watched my friend detox from trams but she was at 10-15 50 mg pills a day...she is on day 5 and is doing well...she did not taper at all because she ran out of trams...i was worried about the seizures but she did ok...she is going back to work and i am so happy for her...she knew she had to kick the pills to work as she is a nurse and she stayed a bit loopy...she was also taking lyrica and abusing it and had been taking lortabs again for a week as well in high amounts..she flushed it all...well not the trams as she ran out of them and they had become her doc...she just can not take any mind altering meds or she will abuse them...she is going to meetings again and doing well...this is a long battle.but no matter what u were taking u are clean now and moving forward...and u have done well and kept a positive attitude...and that is so important ..plus u help others all the time on the forum...and that helps me to stay strong..to help others...keep moving forward and keep posting..i love ur posts..u r very good with words! fractured intestine LOL...but i knew what u meant LOL
I thought you were coming off tramamdol and now you say its a cocktail of meds?? not understanding this. How many drugs are you actually coming off of??
Hi All!
My intestines feel ok now. I think it was the Vit C, and possibly like brokenback said, I haven't been eating very much in the last 19 days. Appetite has vanished. But frankly, that also might just be a symptom of tramadol withdrarwal. I did go awfully fast off alot of different meds. A cocktail of meds. 18 days isn't very long considering that for ....several years there has always been something in my system to deal with the back injury. That by the way; caused me NO PAIN yesterday at all, not one single ice pack needed.
Hoping I do not get a horrible rash from metal toxons leaving my body but I guess you know, I have turtlenecks and tights in case that happens! You know, whatever it takes.
Sorry I scared all of you! Didn't mean to! Just felt really bad for two days in the stomach.
Oh no Wannabe, I assure you, in my individual case, if I take ubuffered vitamin C tablets, I'll get an awful stomach ache. Though, I think this was withdrawal related. It went away completely. It's gone.
I've had a bacterial ulcer. So if I keep having problems I'll get that checked. But I have to say Tramadol withdrawal seems very unpredictable.
And WannaBe, I hadn't used the Immodium until yesterday, so maybe I'm immodium sensitive? Maybe my body HATES Immodium? I have some pepcid in my bag (along with many other vitamins and coping mechanisms) and am off to work. Feeling really good now that the inenstinal pain has vanished.
Thank you all! Youse the bestest!
Emily
And stop the immodium! it will make your intestines STOP working which could be the source of the pain as well
some vitamins can be toxic in higher than recommended doses but vit c the body just gets rid of the unused amts. you may have an ulcer? Try some OTC prevacid or pepcid see if it helps. If not, get to your doctor. You're not having diarrhea so prob not the intestines, but you do have a fever w/it. If a fever is assoc with abd pain, you should be checked. could be your gall bladder, dead gut (which is life threatening), or dehydration. Try the OTC stuff and if no improvement in 24 hours get in to the doctor. And, tell him you are an addict! that way, you're covered.
if you are not eating much then it is like fasting? you have probably put your body into detox mode which is not fun at all. when your body is finally not busy digesting foods all day it has time to work on other things like eliminating toxins that have built up in your body over years. not only perscriptions but all the pesticides and food additives and you know all the bad stuff in just about everything we eat, drink or breathe. hah if you go long enough you will even see mercury in your urine. it will be orange.
this is good for your body in the long run but as everything is getting all stirred up and eliminating it is making you quite sick.
you could help your stomache out by adding probiotics. they are the good bacteria that is suppose to be in our digestive system but has been killed by perscriptions and toxic stuff on our food.
you may even get some nasty hive like rashes where the toxins try to escape out of your skin. that is usually the metals.
if you could get some food in you that would slow down the detoxing and make you feel better. hope you are soon. and congrats on going this far! you sound like a real trooper!
Sounds nasty - but I am impressed you are going the distance.
I know when I was coming off oxy - I ran into a few snags - things I thought were withdrawal - but were actually pre existing conditions that the oxy had masked.
So be careful, do not ignore what your body is telling you now that you are tramadol free.
If you do not want to go to your Dr, maybe a clinic somewhere? It also sounds like you might want to look around for a new Dr. if you are going to remain angry at the one you have.
Hang in there - be ready for the depression - you can do this!!!
I actually do get stomach pain from too much vitamin c if it isn't buffered. And I have been pouring Emerg-C into all my very small water bottles/
No I didn't run a fever, I was comapring w/d to getting a cold, then a fever, then a fever breaking ....
:)
UR a sweetheart to try and help Mike I appreciate it :)
I asked a doctor once what if any would happen if taking to much vitamin c as we were discussing dosage due to my taking it in tons to keep the flu and colds away he said the body will just pass them and if I did take to much it is all it will do no hamful side effects from to much vitamin c...
You ran a fever from withdrawing?? I have not as of yet heard of that happening to anyone. Maybe you have the flu? Diahrea lasts awhile...
Nope, I'm not having the runs at all. That's long gone.
I just started to use Immodium today. I'm saying my stomach is cramping. My intestines. Like it feels like someone kicked me. Hard. Tramadol has kicked me hard in the intestines
Hmmmmm now I am pretty sure it's too much Vitamin C. I've been trying to drink enough water and each has emergen-C in it. I bet that's it. OK. I'll drink straight up water.
And yeah, I was joking with ya there NautyOne ... obviously I can't fracture an intestine!
I shouldn't see my Doctor cause I might beat him for putting me on tramadol without telling me about the risks and the serious withdrawal and then I'll be in jail for assualt!!! I'm kidding. But, yeah, no way. Obviously I can't "take" my Doctor right now. I'll have to wait and get my strength back.
Thanks youse guys.
I think it's the Vitamin C.
The suppliments have to be liquid.
fractured an intestine.....lol. sorry, but that made me laugh. I would DEfinIteLy...See a doc. That is not right. Especially with the terminology u are using to describe it..
please see your doctor.
Nauty..........
I would have to agree that at your dose on day 18 it may be something other than your tramadol wds. You may need to get checked for something else? Everyone is different but the stomach pain seems pretty bad from your description.
Good luck...hope you feel better soon!
So i take it u are having the runs? at day 18 i may would get checked as this is usually a symtom at the beginning of detox...not at day 18...it should have passed by now unless u were on an extremely high dose which i dont recall u saying that u were on a high dose at all...anyway, whatever the dose, tummy issues should be resolved or resolving at this point and not worsening ...mental fatigue, anxiety and depression are the orm that bothers most at this point after detox...not the physical so much anymore...but everyone is different...i would still get it checked if it does not reolve soon....btw...u have done so well but u dont want to mistake a real physical issue that may need attention with witdrawals
