withdrawls

Ok from my question earlier... Im taking a 1/4 of a 15 mg oxycodone at night. Sometimes 1/4 in the morning and then a 1/4 at night. my last 1/4 was at 4pm yesterday and it is now 6:30 the following day. Im doing ok. I tappered to that amount about  month ago and have stayed at that much. So is there anyone out there that has used this method that can tell me about there withdrawls when they stopped all together.

everyone is different. you have been on them for awhile but your dose has been pretty low. you have been tapering so i dont think you will feel much different physically. please try not to anticipate how you will feel. most of the battle is in the mind. think postive. how did you feel during your taper? many people let fear into the equation and then they set themselves up for failure. just take each day as it comes and hope and pray for the best.
i hope you dont plan to take anymore now and that you are done. please get rid of the pills. keeping them around is not good. dont keep the crutches.
sending prayers

Jump off.  If you can be ok with 1/4 twice a day then you are good to go. Jump off, you are doing good!  Good luck and keep posting.  But try to keep it in one thread. It's easier to follow if all your info is in 1 thread.  Maybe just keep this one

Good luck

thanks for the advice...That helps. And yes im done. Im not taking anymore. The tappering was really hard at first but now that amount keeps me normal feeling for the most part. I dont have any severe withdrawls. And you are right about the fear. Its the fear that has been keeping me from taking this last step. And the fear of never feeling normal again. I dont want to be dependent on pills to make me happy and give me energy. I want to be like i was before i ever took them.

I tapered down to 3.75 mg (14mg) for the last two days of tapering. I have one day w/o Oxy. I feel pretty darn good. I have no physical w/d. Appetite is fine. I'm amazed myself.

Prior to me stopping I was prescribed 15 mg 3xs a day..and I tapered within 7 days. for years.

All the best to you. I am very interested in reading how your first day is.

When you stop the drug all together the withdraw will succeed now since you have tapered you own  self to that amount get it down to nothing. If you are feeling ok no need to take anymore. However either way you cut the pie your going to probaly have some discomfort for awhile. Loose bowels possible chills and poor appetite and lack of sleep, this will too pass. Let it. You will feel great in about a month. Your body has to get use to the change back. The body has a very good way of healing itself with no help. Your on a very low dose please dont go back up its only trouble for you.  Jail institutions and death is what this will lead to I promise.

well im on 48 hours without anything. I worked just fine today. the only symptoms im having is absolutly no energy, sneezing, yawning a bit and less of an appetite. I feel like i should be feeling way worse than i am. The first time i tried to quit i went cold turkey from 45-60 mg a day and i could not function and i thought i would loose my mind. Im getting sleep this time i take meletonine or my xanax. But overall im ok. Im just so affraid that those horrible w/d are going to sneek up on me. Please let me know what you all think...Thanks

the only thing you have to fear is fear itself. dont try to anticipate. step by step, hour by hour, day by day. your taper obviously really helped you. just relax. you are doing great. try to eat something, light, toast, crackers, soup, yogurt, smoothies, milk shakes, you need some nourishment.  try to stick with the melatonin if possible. drink losts of fluids, make sure you are taking some vitamins. that is great you are working, moving around is so much better for you. try to get some exercise in , walks do wonders.
congrats on the 48 hrs. keep up the good work.

You are having anxiety. You may need a medication called Buspar for this it is non addictive and will help with the anxiety. Your going through withdraw symptoms. It is ok as long as you do not have seizures. IF you can not do this alone you do need to get help somewhere or you will end up back where you started from. I hope you are doing well.

I'm on my 9th day.  I was taking 15+ 10/325 HC a day.  I quit cold turkey.  I had bad withdrawl symptoms.  Today I still have issues like anxiety and leg pains.   I should of tappered before quitting but I didn't.  I've been sick and just starting to feel a little better.
Good luck to you and I wish you the best.

That is great you went cold turkey only way to go. However you need to get to the bottom of why you  started this in the first place. Using a drug is only a symptom of the disease of addiction. Addiction runs in families and there is a gene that has been found that other people do not have. There are other under lying problems there and if you do not get to the bottom of it. You will repeat this episode later. Especially if you have an injury an need pain meds. I know about addiction. I created a system called the BAHRS System. It is to help addicts to get better in treatment.  Do not deny that you have a problem it may just be the beginning of a problem or has not been a huge problem yet. So stay out while you can. Another thing you have choices not to or to do it. No one is twisting your arm.  The Pain and anxiety for this drug hydrocodone is a short duration. Maybe thee to five days loose bowels anxiety chills pain arms legs etc. Burning.  Just get through it lay down if you can or stay busy. Take showers eat sweets they help so does fruit if you can not eat then try drinking little amounts until you can. I promise in one month it will be completely gone but the mental want for it wont be. Just tell your self NO do not use or drink alcohol to replace it. You will get better and with a little help from your friends. Im here.

hi thanks for posting. how are you doing? is it 14 days clean?
well congratulations. that is great. you will feel better and better each day.
your endrophins, serotonin and dopamines will take some time to produce again.
have you been exercising? taking vitamins? eating healthy?
it will take time to heal your emotions, body, mind and spirit. 30 days is a very big turning point. so keep fighting. you are almost there.
keep up the good work.
hugs

hun dont be down on yourself. your brain chemistry needs to regulate.
exercise,exercise,exercise. keep yourself busy.
think positive.
you are not abnormal, you are in recovery.
you didnt get addicted overnite and it will take time to completely heal.
please try to be patient.
get rid of all the pills so there isnt a chance to relapse again.
if it is a script cancel it.
if from the street, delete the numbers.
recovery is a marathon, not a sprint.
keep the faith
