sounds good for me too, after 7years of sleeping like a baby this is taking its toll on me i woke up today with a cold sore dammit janet !
hey guys, i think i just answered my own question....i just checked out FLADDICT's amino acid health page....and right there, i found the answer to the question i had....she mentions in the early days of her wd's, she took a sleep blend from GNC with L-theanine and calcium/magnesium liquid and slept like a baby....now i just have to find that! :-)
thanks for all the other great possibilities, too....i suppose it's like everything else....what works for one might not work for another....so it may be trial and error....good to know what's worked for others....thanks
Natural Calm with calcium is a powder that you mix in water then drink.
thanks for your research! :-) i still think though that the liquid formula FLADDICT took was a GNC magnesium/calcium formulation...could be confused though....and that was awhile ago i know....hoping she'll see the post and will set me straight either way....good info about the other products though....and i do think, from people i've talked to, that liquid is a good way to go...seems people have more luck with that when they have sleep problems....anyway, thanks for the info....will check it out!
I just got off the phone with my friend the vitamin expert....Weird that he called while I was looking at this post...GNC makes a capsule called GNC sleep formula and another product called Natrasleep...he said for most tryptophan and melatonin work the best...GNC also sells a liquid formula called Bach Rescue Sleep but GNC does not make this product/third party....he told me to google "liquid sleep formulas"and there are liquid forms of melatonin and tryptophan and even one with both in it...lots of stuff there in liquid form when i googled it...may order one and try it on my next sleepless night...liquid would take effect faster than pills
Rite Aid sells GNC.....maybe you could google the GNC site
thanks guys....i've heard of both of those products....but i learned from doing research that sometimes, if a tablet/capsule formula doesn't necessarily work for you, that something as simple as switching to the LIQUID formulation of the exact same product is the perfect solution and works like a charm....and helps whereas the other formulation maybe didn't....that's why i was asking FLADDICT about that liquid formulation from GNC....i guess i (and sarah) could always call GNC and ask them, too....they should know their products....
Calm Now is one i have tried but it is not by gnc i dont think.....it is the mixture of calcium and magnesium tho so there are many products out there...i always have taken my cal.mag vitamins in the pm for this reason as they do help with sleep somewhat...I did try the Calm Now and did not get any more benefit from it anymore so than taking my cal.mag supplements...everyone is different tho ..sometimes difficult sleep issues need to be discussed with your doctor as a prescription sleep med may be needed for short term use to help keep us strong during detox and prevent relapse...especially if u have to work...there are sleep meds out there that are not as habit forming as others
I can't remember the name of that product but Natural Calm with Calcium helps too. As does melatonin. It is safe to take up to 10mg at night. always sleep in a darkened room and try to minimize activities and even computer before going to bed.
